Mothers 05101 Mag & Aluminum Polish - 10 oz

I was recommended this product by a friend I have a 2000 Mercury Sable with aluminum rims that were starting to get tarnished. I previously removed the clear coat from them because it was peeling and noticed it was starting to tarnish due to oxidation. A little of this product goes a long way and it only workson bare aluminum, you'll know it's working because when you're rubbing the powder will turn a black color indicating a chemical reaction is taking place. All you have to do is wipe it away and you're left with a clean shiny rim that is protected from any future corrosion. Overall for less than $5 it restored all four of my rims and I barely even went through the entire container

I have used this before for auto parts, but this time I bought it to use on the legs of a pinball machine. It worked just as well on the pinball legs as it did on the auto parts. It rubs on well and comes off just as well. I tend to use more than I probably should so I went through a little more than I expected. That said, I don't really have any comments on comparing it to other types of polishes. This was the first brand I ever used and have continued using it because it does the job. Heads up - I like to keep this in my cart and order it when it drops below $10 for the 10 oz. This used to happen quite often, but I have a feeling I won't be seeing that again.

This polish not only does a great job on the wheels of my cars, but I heard that it makes removing oxidation and scratches from plastic headlights and easy job, and I was amazed at the results, taking only five minutes per lens! Of course, you will need to recoat the lenses after polishing with a UV protectant clear coat, and that is readily available in aerosol cans or wipes. I used Mother's microfiber pads to apply the polish and a clean, dry microfiber cloth to remove the hazy residue after polishing.

I’ve used this and Flitz and both are great, but this one brings out a certain shine I love. Matched with microfiber cloth and you’ll be shining metal objects with no problems.The tub will probably last year for years if you shine weekly. Just be aware not to leave the paste on too long. One of my favorite badge cleaners to use and I highly recommend it.

I needed a new bottle. You just wipe a little on and rub a little til it turns black and then rub it off and it's clean and shiny! I used it on my service for 6 bronze - it's amazing. I do have to complain about the Amazon shipping - the shipping bag was stronger but still did not protect the bottle bottom which had a puncture. The cleaner got all over the other items sent in the same bag - a bit of a mess.

Mothers is a great brand and I thought this would be good for my needs. It does a nice job of shining and goes on easily but it did not remove imperfections on my chrome wheels. Maybe I misread the description. Previous other products I have used have been much more effective. Guess I'll go back to using them.
