Shallow cakes such as flans or tarts can be baked safely as well. Easy to use, lightly coat the inside of the pan and base with your favorite cooking oil or spray and then push the base into the cake pan. Once the base is pushed all the way down and sits evenly on the bottom inside edge of the pan, you can fill with your favorite recipe.
