Had to go to the Ford house to have it programmed. Working as expected after programmed.

I don't know what the longevity will be- it doesn't seem as solid as my original fob. It is much lighter, and the materials don't feel as sturdy.However, it easily connect to my 2017 Ford Expedition when using the Universal EZ Installer. I was very skeptical, but the key connected easily, and all functions work correctly.The price of this key and the Universal EZ Installer was a FRACTION of what the dealer quoted me to replace the key, and far less than what my local locksmith was going to charge. (And you can connect up to 4 new keys with the purchase of 1 EZ installer, so the more keys you buy, the better the deal.)

Bought this to replace a cheaper Ford key clone from another company that had a poorer build quality and not blue oval inset, it cost about $20. This is worth the extra $15 in comparison. The cheaper one had really poor range and inconsistent signaling. I used to have to spam-click the old key even up close to hope the car responded. This key however, responds in one click at all normal ranges like an OEM key would.

Worked for a 2016 Taurus, no problem with the programming. Seems to have decent range and all functions are working. So 5 stars for that. However, item arrived obviously used, as the bag had been opened and poorly resealed. So for Amazon choosing to recycle returned items as new, -6 stars. Not the first time this has happened.

Refer to the security section of your vehicle owners manual. Process worked for my 2015 Taurus. Placed the new intelligent fob in the pocket of the center console. Two original fob were inside the passenger compartment. Engine off, doors closed. Pushed the door unlock button on the door three times. Pushed the brake once. Pushed the door lock button on the door three times. Pushed the brake once. Star/Stop button light was flashing to indicate programing. Pushed Start/Stop button. Removed newly programmed fob from the console and confirmed it's button's unlocked and locked the vehicle doors.Maximum of four programmed fob for my vehicle. Understand that a dealer or locksmith can clear the list. Seems most important to have the original pair of fob. Without them you have to pay for programing.Not exactly the same look or feel but it works. I did notice remote start function not always working. Issue resolved if fob being used to remote start is the last fob used to start the vehicle inside the passenger compartment.Seriously consider having a spare before it's too late to program it yourself.

was able to code this to my 2013 Taurus SHO with forscan in about 15 minutes. All I got with the car was one generic keyfob. Even more generic than this one. this keyfob feels much more rigid and of better quality.anywho. with forscan I didn't need 2 original keys or anything like that.

Super easy with these Step-by-Step Programming Instructions for 'Push-Button' ignitions. (I have a 2011 Edge Sport)>Close the car doors, then open the driver's side door. Press the UNLOCK button on the driver's side door.>Next, turn the ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times. Do this within 10 seconds, making sure the 8th time ends on RUN. When you’ve entered programming mode, the door locks will lock and unlock. (Note: If the doors don’t cycle, turn the key faster. Your car may not have keyless entry if you still can’t get the door locks to cycle.)>Press any button on the Ford remote to be programmed. Do this within 8 seconds. The door locks will cycle again to confirm that the keyless entry remote is programmed and ready to use.> Do you Have a second remote key fob? Again, press any button on the remote within 8 seconds to cycle the door locks. Repeat this step for any additional key fobs.>Finally, turn the ignition to OFF. The locks will again cycle to confirm that programming is complete.
