Great doorbell...minor issue in icy temps
I live in a 400 sq ft cottage with and outdoor deck w/ a door. This doorbell is exactly what I was looking for. Surprisingly, I found this item on Amazon's giveaway page. I didn't win the item, but did get a $5 off coupon code. Took advantage of the deal and I'm so glad I did. I was most interested in the the IP7 rating. Being that this would be exposed to the elements with no type of cover, I was glad to see it's snowproof and rainproof. There are plenty of chimes to choose from (I'm currently using a Christmas chime) and the volume levels are perfect for my small area. Another positive is that no batteries are needed. Instead, the transmitter charges itself when the button is pressed. It's not a "normal" doorbell button. Instead, you push the whole bottom of the transmitter and it makes a "click" sound when fully pressed. It's a different type of doorbell, but I don't foresee it being a problem with visitors. Another added bonus is the receivers double as night lights. Really happy with this products and hope that I will be for years to come.UPDATE 1/13/17: doorbell has been working perfectly. Ran into a minor glitch after some rain and freezing temps. The button did not want to depress. This has happened a couple of times in similar temps/weather, I assumed due to ice build up. Each time I pushed just a little harder and it dislodged the ice and worked fine. Today, however, when I pressed harder the button made a *snap* sound and appeared to be broken. I initiated a return with Amazon. I took the doorbell off the door frame and decided to pop the backing off to see if there was an easy fix. Turns out a matchstick size piece of ice had lodged itself in such a way that it was keeping the mechanism inside in the "pressed down" position. Once I removed the piece of ice the doorbell worked fine.

Good price, easy installation, and it works.
Easy to install. I chose screw on installation. The back pops off easily with a flathead, and you need 5 seconds with a standard drill to drill out the holes for the screws. The screw spacing matches a normal doorbell installation if you are replacing a wired unit. There is a gap between the unit and the wall - enough to not trap moisture in a capillary fashion, since it is not a flush fit like a standard doorbell. It isn't very nice looking in my opinion - wish they offered something a bit more stylish - but oh well. It works fine - range is about 30' and a couple of walls to the one I plugged in the kitchen, and the same to the basement unit. The controls are intuitive - press to activate the nightlight, another button to scroll through (the mostly obnoxious, slightly out-of-tune on the flat side, and strangely Christmas focused) ringtones, and another to toggle the volume. I was disappointed there was not a totally quiet setting on the volume, but I guess you could always unplug it if you wanted that. I also wished that the first button press of the ringtone button would just tell you what you have already selected, but instead it scrolls to the next one so I had to go all the way around again to get to only ringtone I could stand several times.

Light isn't bright, but I love the concept
I got this for our apartment, as my husband is Deaf. I like that it came with two light/sound plugs, and I LOVE LOVE that the bell itself doesn't require batteries!! Very cool!! There are a great deal of sounds/rings to choose from (short and simple or longer songs, including Christmas songs), and there is a volume control (I think only two choices though of volume). Really the only disappointment I have is that the lights are not bright at all... which is the whole reason why we bought it in the first place. :-( Very sad. If it were a brighter strobe LED, it would be the perfect doorbell system. The only way my husband can really notice the light is if he purposely sits where it is plugged in and turns the lights off. Hard to see during the day.

Great for 2 story home or larger homes
The difference between this one and one that i owned in the past is this comes with 2 receivers. We have a 2 story home and with one receiver it wasn’t doing it. We would not be able to hear it from certain places upstairs since we only had 1 receiver, especially with my parents with hard hearing. This has been working well because now we can hear the doorbell from anywhere in the house. I would recommend this to everyone especially with older people or deafs because of the nightly option. They can see it blink if they have a hard time hearing.

Nice but low volume
I like the no battery feature. The button is super huge. Some may not know it's a doorbell because it's a little unusual looking. The range is great compared to another wireless doorbell I tried. The glitch is the sound, even at max volume, is just too low. I strategically placed these units and picked the annoying bird chirping sound. Should be ok. But I wish I could buy a 3rd receiver.

no batteries needed
best part - don't have batteries to deal with and great range, about 150 feetworst part - bad design on the ringer, when plugged in it covers both openings so you can't have anything plugged in with it and that really sucks.

I choose this set because the listing write IP7 waterproof, and it is the highest waterproof level.
My last doorbell stopped working after a heavy rain. I choose this set because the listing write IP7 waterproof, and it is the highest waterproof level. After receiving, I really put the transmit into water for about 3 mins. Then take it out and press it, the chime singing as normal. No worry about heavy rain any more. And the button works without any battery, very excellent design. The most surprised thing is it rings jingle bell, really a perfect Merry Christmas gift.

Great
Love that it never needs batteries!!! Only issue is people don't push the button right...has to be pushed towards the bottom or it doesn't ring. The volumn control is pretty cool too.
