Q: How wide is the opening? My dispenser has a 1/2" diameter spout, which would have to fit into that opening with room for air to flow out.

A half inch is pushing it especially if you need air gap

Q: Do these seal well or do they leak?

They seal GREAT. No leaks. Used for vanilla extract and never had a problem with any one of them. Put them to the test many of times.

Q: Can "fragile" be indicated on the box when it is being delivered?

It should be because mine arrived with several broken bottles. The ones that survived are great but it was poorly packaged.
