I noticed no loose ends or flimsy housing here. I was pleased to find this solution after trying to migrate 2TB of data on my MacBook Pro to a 4TB unit. Nothing worked, not Time Machine, not Migration Assistant using wifi, or Acronis disk cloning. Every attempt ended in an incomplete or corruption failure. I started thinking that perhaps my situation was atypical and beyond the capacity of these other solutions. The biggest frustration was that every attempt took 12 - 20 hours only to fail. I learned about migrating using Thunderbolt 4 USB-C with Migration Assistant. It was easy to set up, and the transfer was completed in under four hours. Glad I found this option and cable. Great purchase.

Update:Wrote this review after Anker denied my warranty request as described below. They subsequently wrote back and said they’d make a one time exception and they sent me a new cable. I added stars back for that reason (hard to give full marks since the casing did in fact crack on my first one and they initially declined to replace it, though I give them credit for being easy to contact and for coming through in the end).Original Review:I usually love Anker products and customer service (have bought innumerable products from them), however this time their cable and their support let me down. Retrieved this cable from a drawer where it has lived for 20 months with almost no use only to discover the casing had cracked in 2 locations. I contacted Anker, and they told me the warranty had expired at 18 months (2 months ago), and they declined to replace it. The few times I used it, it worked well, but I cannot recommend the quality/longevity, and I am disappointed that they wouldn’t grant a small exception for such a loyal customer.

Works perfectly for my audio setup(apollo twin x gen2 into mac mini m4).Those are finicky and this cable works great!!

I've purchased several of these cables for my different laptops and they all work great. There is no electronics brand I trust more than Anker to create a quality product. Highly recommended for use with Apple MacBook Pro's!
