Foals: Live at the Royal Albert Hall [Blu-ray]

Had seen this concert on youtube and it was actually what got me to be a fan of Foals. I was very happy with the video and it being mailed to me in one piece. Nothing was broken. Came right on time. Great video for any Foals fan. Had a lot of extra context as well like extra footage, a full length documentary of the recording of "Holy Fire" and you can also listen to the whole album on the Blu-Ray.

Great footage and well put together. The sound is awesome, plus great extras as well and hidden footage from a different performance.

The FOALS are awesome and the sound and footage on this concert definitely won't let you down! What more can I say?

Weshalb berührt uns Musik,was stellt Musik mit uns an, wenn sie von uns aufgenommen wird?Fragen, auf die meine Rezension sicherlich keine Antwort geben wird.Fest steht: Falls du bisher noch nie etwas von "Foals" wahrgenommen haben solltest, ändere dies...es wird dein Leben ändern...glücklicher machen!Wenn du dir oft gewünscht hast, "Bloc Party" hätten nach ihrem herausragendem Debut Musik auf einem ähnlich hohen Niveau gemacht hör dir "Red Socks Pugie" an.Nachdem du dir "Providence" angesehen hast, wirst du dir wünschen Schlagzeugstöcke zu besitzen. Du wirst oft zu Minute 42 und 50 Sekunden zurückskippen, um diese unbändige Energie erneut zu erleben"Late Night" wird dich berühren, an die Hand holen und nicht mehr loslassen und "Spanish Sahara" ...eines der wahrscheinlich intensivsten Lieder überhaupt. Wie lässt sich soetwas in Worte fassen! Du wirst Stunden damit verbringen dir dieses eine Lied immer und immer wieder anzuhören und dabei einfach nur glücklich sein.

Yep, this is what it is. You are sitting in your lounge room on Tuesday night, and put on the blu-ray (here's to the people who care about the sound and quality of home-viewing! Well-done to no dvd!), and Foals take the stage within smoke and eerie noises, and slowly emerge into the opening notes of "Prelude". And then the explosion of the "Total Life Forever" followed, and the auditorium lost it (like they do at the Foals gigs!). I wished I were there, my feet were longing for the dance floor, for the floor of the Royal Albert Hall or any other venue where Foals performed.Why do I tell you this? If you ever saw Foals performing, you know that they are absolutely amazing, with the astounding energy, unreal live shows and shows which are usually setting the roof on fire. If you have not yet had a chance to see Foals live (which is not strange as their gigs usually sell out within 15 minutes), you MUST SEE this band. There are no words and no video footage that can possibly describe the performance, the rich sound, the thumping drums, the genuine love between the audience and the performing band. Each and every song played opens up like a lotus with a multiplicity and layers of sounds and echoes and thuds and stumps, this is the band that has playing amazing live music in their blood.Originally, I was planning to list and pick songs that I loved and that stood out on the Live blu-ray, but it's pointless. The performance is organic and I don't want to ruin it for you. The only disadvantage of the recorded show (and this particular product) is that the performance is often interrupted by little sketches of band members backstage, a few quotes, musings, various footage of the fans etc. This takes you out of the mood a bit. But nonetheless, this is a great live recording with various extras (including music videos and three live songs that did not make it to the main footage... Why?.. There is our old friend "Baloons" live, in extras. Enjoy.).To quote Yannis, escape yourself, and lose your s***, and dance like crazy.Cause I feel the love, feel the love I feel the love, feel the love...

Una de las mejores banda en la actualidad. El concierto es simplemente perfecto, y la calidad Blu-Ray lo hace aún más increíble.

Alle tollen Songs von Foals sind zu sehen. Vom ersten bis zum dritten Studioalbum. Wenn man die Band selber mal live gesehen hat, kann man bei der Blu Ray noch besser mitfeiern. Sehr viel Material und viel Backstage. Top!
