No sunscreen is 100% reef safe, but this is one of the best options available. The ingredients that are worst for reefs are Octocrylene and Oxybenzone which are the main ingredients in normal sunscreens. These chemicals are not on the list of ingredients for this one. It worked great for me! Just beware that sometimes you will see sunscreen that says reef safe on the bottle, but if you check the ingredient list it will have Octocrylene and/or Oxybenzone just in a smaller percentage or lower down on the list than the average bottle.

In the US I think only Hawaii and maybe one other place has laws on using reef safe sunscreen. You can probably find a list of recommended brands or prohibited brands by looking at the rules on certain beaches in Hawaii.

Worthless

This item came damaged and unusable. The stick won't come up. And the worst part is it cannot be returned or replaced. Money lost. Very disappointed. If you value your money buy products that have a return/replace option.
