The handle crank should be much longer for leverage or the cutting edge needs to be much sharper.Women have a hard time opening any can,with this opener.I have used it a few times myself,I have fairly strong hands,yet I have to use quite a lot of force to open a simple can of cat food.A lady that I know was struggling very hard to turn the crank handle and open the can,I took over and it was opened but it took a lot of arm and wrist power.I cannot recommend this opener to anyone,unless they are trying to build up their wrist and arms for an upcoming arm wrestling competition,and forget buying it for a senior or child !!!!! -----------************** I wish to amend my previous negative review, I have used this unique and stylish opener for about a week,now and I truly believe that the problem that I originally had ,was the poor technique that I used.This made cranking the handle to open the cans more difficult.The cut that is made is very smooth and the can can be re-capped for storage in the fridge with its own cap in place.I think it is nice tool and will last for years,the bottle opener on the other end is a plus,also

Had it a year and a half now. Still using it. Does take the tops off cans in a safe manner so you don't risk cutting your fingers.Once in awhile a can will be dented and I'll have to bring out the old school clamp type opener. But for everything else, there's this.You will have to get the hang of how to attach the opener properly to the can, but it's not a big deal.

nice clean lines and design and clean edges when u open the can and is safe and will not leave sharp edges. All that plus a bottle opener and ring puller. I just bought this and a new set of SS utinsiles and I am cleaning out the drawer and giving a bunch of stuff to the shelter. WAY TOOMUCH crap in the drawer and this got rid of a few more THANKS O and it really does work great!! and is high quality!! I find it rather easy to use unlike others have said. This type of opener does take a few times to get the HANG OF so to say I guess. And not make a mess getting the lid off once cut open

This thing is amazing! We went through a couple of different traditional openers in the last few years, always having failed gears. I decided, no more sharp lids or funky gear slippages. This one is perfect. It actually does what it says it does. The lids come off cleanly and with less effort than a traditional opener. I like the smaller footprint in my drawer too. So simple to use and I actually enjoy opening cans with it.. as cheesy as that sounds. Little things like this make me happy.

Pros: Simple, excellent, and affordable. For the price, I would recommend it to anyone.Cons: It's a bit bulky, but nothing that would deter me from repurchasing this item again.

We bought this to replace a can opener we misplaced after camping. Sometimes it works smoothly but sometimes you have to adjust the angle of it while using or it unthreaded and messes up the ability to open the can.ETA Customer service is very attentive and has sent me another can opener.

Such a great idea, but impossible to use. I even watched the Youtube videos and couldn't figure it out.UPDATE: The vendor contacted me and offered a full refund for my purchase which I greatly appreciate. I also turned the can opener over to a mechanical engineer who determined the problem was the tensioner on the turning handle. So, I wouldn't discount this product all together; I may have just gotten a unit that wasn't put together to spec. I am very pleased with the customer service. Thank you!

Took us about 2 weeks to figure out how to actually open cans with it, 1. Because it kind of looks like half of a can opener and there is no obvious way to attach the can opener and 2. We might just be idiots.
