I use these folders for traveling. I have had one for 11 years and it was beginning to show it's wear, plus I wanted a different color, so I ordered these. I didn't need so many but am glad I could still get them. I put all of my travel documents in them to keep them from creasing and keeping them together used to be a challenge. Now if I need to see what we do next, I just pull out the folder and everything I need is there. We have also kept our local maps in there so they would be easy to find when looking for a place of interest. I highly recommend them for travelers who need some organization when on the move.

I like to use these envelopes because of the following:* Easy to see what is inside* Weather & spill proof to protect documents* No gussets (Gussets make it hard to insert documents because the papers strike the folds of the gussets)* Professional looking* Easy to sort and organize sales literature or other documents* A letter-sized manila file folder will fit without bending over the label tab on the folder* Also, the hook & loop snap works well to keep the flap shut.* I don't use this, but I can see how it would be easy to sort by colorThese will not fit into a letter-size filling cabinet hanging file folder.Although these don't hold more than 1/2" of documents well, they do hold reasonably small amounts of documents very well making it very easy to slide the documents in and out of the folder. I much prefer these to other folders.

This is my third order of these protective envelopes. I wanted to replace my cheesy paper folders that don’t hold up and scrunch my documents. I’m glad I found these. I started collecting important papers and didn’t know how to separate them into groups where I could protect them and visibly see what was what. I was afraid they might be too thin and flimsy, but happily they are not. Just right for me to organize my papers. I purchased a different color on each order for variety. I keep ordering these as I continue to find many uses for them. The Velcro clasp keeps the front flap secure. And they are transparent enough so that just by looking, I can see instantly what papers/ docs are in each folder. You could also write on the envelopes with a marker if you want. Highly recommend.

I personally prefer the velcro closure because it has a little bit more give than the snap button poly envelopes. They are perfect to carry personal or business papers. I usually carry a couple in my tote bag at all times for loose papers, coupons, newspapers, magazines, etc. Keeps everything in one place and organized! Just as I like it. Use them when you travel via vehicle or plane. Thank you so much!

Here in Hawaii, it can be hard to find things. Specialized school supplies are only available for about a month, and then you're out of luck for another year. So when my daughter was asked to get a plastic, velcro closure envelope in the 2nd month of school, I couldn't get one on the island anymore. I have purchased locally something similar in the past and was hoping this would be the same. It wasn't.I don't think this envelope is the size stated in the product description. I think it is maybe 9x12. I bought it to hold a composition book and it wasn't big enough. The plastic is thin and flimsy. I don't think it would have held up to being carried back and forth to school.Instead, it is now an expensive envelope for origami paper.

When it first arrived, I was kind of disappointed in how flimsy it seemed. But the proof was in the pudding [note: do not use this folder for storing pudding]. It's held up great going to and fro and even further fro -- the corners are still straight, the velcro hooks nicely, and it accommodates a surprisingly large stack of papers. It's a great price, and slips in and out of your carrying bag of choice MUCH more gracefully than an expanding file.I should probably get the set with assorted colors, but that would mean admitting that I know tax time is approaching, and... I'm not quite there yet.

I use these for my project managers out in the field and they hold up really well.

Beautiful blue color. Carries homework safely. Useful velcro fastener. Practical size and shape. Protects important documents from damage. Fits nicely in a desk drawer, filing cabinet, brief case etc. I was a bit disappointed with the sticker on the outside of the envelope. It was difficult to remove and left a sticky residue on my otherwise perfect envelope. I highly recommend this product to anyone who uses paper.

Very flimsy. Expected thicker, heavier, better quality for the price. Nice size tho. Colour was more dark grey or dark brown, not black. Not completely opaque either.
