I am quietly sitting in my kitchen as I write this review, listening to the soundtrack of my zapper outside earning its reputation. We live a few miles from the Mississippi River and have lots and lots of mosquitoes and other bugs. I also have a daughter who is obtusely afraid of all things creepy, crawlie, and flighty. Because I am a good Mom who loves her daughter, I purchased this zapper to help eliminate the endless winged threats. I knew there were substantial populations of bugs outside, but I had no idea how many until I started hearing this thing zapping every second or two! Wowza! Can this thing ever zap 'em! I like that I don't have to put out potentially dangerous chemicals that might harm our favorite native insectivores. We love having wildlife and didn't want to potentially harm our friendly toads, possums, and birds that prey on the insects. Hooray for no poisons and lots of zappy noises! Go little bug zapper, go!

Gnats were making it really annoying to mow the yard or do much else outside. This took care of the problem in a couple of days.

I love this zapper, it has a nice light to it, but you can't keep it in a room where you sleep. I still jump every time it zaps a bug. It is loud when it zaps a bug, but then I know it is working. Great Buy and would buy it againUnfortunately, it worked great for under 3 months, now it’s dead. Will have to contact someone for help. Is the bulb replaceable?seller said they would replace in Oct, Dec and still waiting . Don’t buy

We have this in our backyard and it seems to work fine.. cleaning is very easy and I like the “pull down” cleaner for the rods.. the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a pretty loud zap noise when it kills a bug… that takes some getting used to..

Bought this bug zapper and it quit two days later told the seller their response was to buy a new bulb.... They should have sent me a replacementI bought a new bulb it only lasted two weeks of light use didn't leave it plugged in for more than 8 hours .....it went up in smoke!!!! Edit the company replaced the zapper without even asking!! Even sent me an upgrade they were a pleasure to deal with what a great company!!! Will do more business in the future

That is not a joke or hyperbole. I woke up this morning, one year and one day from the date of purchase, and the unit had died. I don't mean that the light burned out. I specifically bought one that had a replaceable bulb. No bulb lasts forever, and this one had been going 24/7 for 365 days. The grid of electrically charged wires is no longer electrically charged. The thing seems to have failed wholesale. I plan to crack it open and take a look around. Maybe it's just a solder joint that finally broke under the constant heat, in which case I feel confident enough in my skills that I can repair it. But for the average person who doesn't own a soldering iron to begin with, this would be a complete teardown. Or maybe tossout. Really wish this had worked out, as the particular spectrum of light it uses seemed particularly attractive to the fruit flies in our kitchen. I really did like this thing, for exactly one year. 😕

1 star for the product itself5 stars for the sellerFirst one last 4 months, second one was 7 months but most of that was winter so I'm not fully sure when it went out. While its functional it is the best bug zapper I have ever owned! It attracts everything and leaves a massive pile of dead bugs every night. There was even a couple wasps over its lifespan which I found amazing!Sadly the electronics in it are not so great. Both units have burned out due to a trace on the board blowing out. The bulbs in them are still good (now I have 3 spare I need to figure out what to do with as the first time I thought it was a bulb since they last 6-12 months) but the unit itself is no longer able to receive power.The seller on both occasions was understanding and quick to reply. I love the product when it works but unfortunately I will be looking for another one in hopes to get at least a couple years out of it.

I could plug it in straight out of the box. It’s at 100 flies. And now I am just about fly free. I’ve had it for about 2/3 weeks. Still going strong have it plugged in all the time. I can now unplug it I guess at night time. It’s very loud like a lightning zap that may disturb your dogs but it lessons overtime. Great price also!One of my best buys on Amazon.

This bug zapper is pretty impressive to me at least. It does make a loud snapping sound when it's taking out insects which to me is fine because at least you know it's working. Also, it's very satisfying to hear bugs being zapped and knowing there are less around your doorways. If you're a jumpy person I would not recommend this bug zapper because it's loud and takes you off guard. It does kill wasps so that's an upper for my home as they are frequent visitors on my property. I have also taken note that due to the voltage it does cause some bugs to "explode" and if it's close to a door it will leave some carnage on it but it is not a frequent occurrence so it's not terrible and it's easily brushed away with a broom. Overall, I have a lot less bugs including wasps and moths around my door and backyard which was my goal when buying a bug zapper. I am very happy with it and would definitely recommend it as it gets the job done.

Das Gerät funktioniert sehr gut und trägt dazu bei, Insektizide zu vermeiden. Es ist nur etwas groß - ich brächte auch noch eine kleinere 230V-Variante, die man gut mit in den Urlaub nehmen kann.

Très bien. Très efficace. Surpris par le bruits quand l'insecte ce dépose sur l'appareil car ça claque. La couleur mauve est super et agréable. Perso ça ne me dérange pas qu'il n'y est pas d’interrupteur, mais devoir le brancher et débrancher.
