I liked this lighter so much, I actually purchased another one after losing the first. I use this lighter to melt paracord rope - as I was continually getting burned by using candles and the long-handled stove lighters.This was the first one of its kind that I purchased, so I can't really compare it to other lighters that work similarly.I purchased a cannister of zippo butane, and was able to "fill" the lighter in only a few seconds. The lighter lets you know when its full when it stops accepting anymore butane (ie, the butane begins leaking). The lighter is made to fit in your hand - it's about 3" tall, and the horizontal portion is about 2" (the torchhead juts out about an inch or so away from the body). Please note that these are estimated measurements, given here to give you a rough estimate of fit. It's extremely comfortable to use when spending hours tying paracord rope.The amount of heat given off is also adjustable. There is a small circular lever that can be turned to increase the height of the frame and decrease the height of the frame.I don't use this item on a daily basis, but so far have had no performance issues. One negative about this item (which is potentially a positive) is that I need to click on the trigger twice before it lights. I've never been able to get a light with only one press of the trigger. I guess this might be a positive if you are transporting the lighter in a bag, and are worried about accidental depression. Overall, I highly recommend this item.

Works fine, great gift

I like it, but it's taken some getting use to with the 1-2 seconds it stays on after the thumb switch is released. Personally I don't like it, but most will get used to it.One thing NOT to do, is put it in your pocket. I felt the colds sensation of the gas on my leg, lucky it didn't ignite. A safety switch would be a smart addition.Nice build and solid product, just not for me.

My favorite lighter and I have a bunch. The thumb trigger is easy and a nice full flame.

I am very pleased with this torch. With it's four burner design it efficiantly heats and lights quickly. I especially like the full metal body and that it feels durable in my hands as supposed to it's plastic counterparts. It was delivered in a very nice cace with a foam mold cutout giving it an even more quality look to itThe only thing i have found that thua torch needs is a higher volume fuel tank because with the four burners it basically drinks lighter fluid. Also, it could use a flame lock switch for if you needed it as a quick bench torch for soldering/brazing.Other than the two minute downsizes, i really love this torch and am extremely happy with my purchace.

So comfortable to hold. Large tank for butane. I really like the 4 heads. I’ve purchased several now because everyone that sees it wants one!It does get a little hot if you have it on a long time for art melting, but put it down for a few and it’s ready to go again.I have one that stays in an art drawer and I carry one. I’ve only have an issue with lint building up in the ports one time that made it not work correctly. Soon as I cleaned it, worked dandy!Heavy, quality, durable.Highly recommend.

UPDATE. This lighter is terrible. It dies in less than 2 monthsUPDATE ON SECOND ORDER: It's amazing how there are no good torches out there. They all seem to have some issues according to everyone's reviews. I bought two more. Thought it's cheap and it will last a year since the last one lasted about 6 months. NOPE. One is failing already. It stutters when lit. I am sending it back and they are sending me a replacement. The other seems okay so far. This seems like a lottery. Let's see.After 6 months of conservative use today the fire came out like a regular lighter. No more torch. It almost burnt my fingers, or it could have if it had any strength. Fire came out of the holes on the side and it just burnt like five regular lighters lighting at the same time. It was great while it lasted.

Four jets are one or two, to many. Lighter cannot to turned down low enough to safely light the foot of a cigar. It simply cremats cigar. Sort of like holding your favorite cigar behind the jet blast of an F-18 hornet. This thing works well but is just to much power For my needs. I broke a pencil point off in one of the burners and now things seam to be working a little better but the power is still to great. Cigar smokers beware, you only need a two or three burner torch in order to light your cigars. Cigar lighting should not be a rushed thing. This thing is to much and will destroy you cigar. 9/20/22. I have now broken a pencil point off and into the main jet burner hole in the second upper jet. What an improvement! The only gas now coming out of the two top burners is that which comes from the holes surrounding the jet. This adds heat to the torch, but not a large jet flame. This lighter is now able to be adjusted from a soft flame or up to a nice jet. Having made this very easy modification has made all the difference in the world in how this lighter works. Therefore I am upgradeing my review rating for this product to three stars.
