1/3 energy for 57% brightness of 42W 2650 lumens CFL works surprisingly well!
We had a CFL that was eating 42W emitting 2650 lumens. This 14W LED bulb is a champ at 1/3 the energy! We initially tried to replace the CFL with a 15W 5700K LED bulb we ordered direct from China. What a waste of $. The extra 700K caused a bluish tinge that hurt our eyes and there is no way the bulb was the 1500 lumens it claimed. When we got this Westinghouse bulb to compare and put it in - bam! perfect! 5000K (Daylight) is definitely what you want if you’re trying to light up a 2 car garage for utility purposes. We were shocked 1500 lumens (as advertised) is more than plenty ... and we’re burning 1/3 the energy. We’re really happy with this bulb and that we were able to order a single bulb from a well-known manufacturer at a price comparable to 2-packs at like Home Depot (single Cree bulbs are $7-8)The only thing I feel you should be aware of is it has a 5-year warranty (which is competitive) - just be aware that other bulbs (like from Cree) have 10 year warranties - but you’ll have to pay a 60% premium. To account for this, we bought this bulb with a card that tacks an additional 2 year warranty (7 years total) and just call it a day!

These bulbs get VERY HOT at the base in just under 10 minutes!!!! NO THANKS!!!
I'm so tired of these manufacturers making cheap LED bulbs, saying how they're designed for energy savings and made for enclosed fixtures blah blah blah.....I purchased an LED bulb on Amazon (made by TCP) that cost about 5 times the amount of this bulb that is also safe/designed for enclosed fixtures and it remains relatively cool in temp- moral of story, you get what you pay for!!!! This bulb is priced cheap b/c it is cheap (gets EXTREMELY hot at the base).

Bright!
Bought this for a makeup mirror, tore it apart and stuck it on aluminum plates inside, replacing a circular fluorescent bulb. Base is full of rubber potting compound which really made it quite tedious, but in the end am very happy with the results. A warm white 60W equivalent wasn't enough. Would buy again.

Garage Opener Compatible
I'm older and need a lot of light. Many LED products of the higher wattage operate in frequencies that interfere with garage door openers. These work fine with my Chamberlain opener whereas previous LEDs would not.

Nice and bright
I swapped out a 60 watt led bulb to this 100 watt and the difference was incredible. Much brighter in my pantry now. Nice clean white light. I can easily see everything now.

Nice and bright. Great color temp.
If you need a bulb that's brighter than the typical LED bulbs, this is it. Nice and bright, and a nice warm color very similar to the old incandescent bulbs.

Worked… sorta
Bought a pair but flickered/strobed when used together in ceiling fan. Individually they worked great. Some kind of an overload?
