Perfect for repairing chips!
They work very well. I can get into chips with ease and getting resin inside of the chips is easier because of the expansion of the impact point. I would recommend these for anyone who deals with fixing chips.

Doesn't come with drill bits
The drill feels solid and seems of good quality.Customer support is also excellent. However, although the drill comes with various bits and attachments, it does NOT come with the kind of drill bits you need to cut windshield glass. You have to buy those in addition to the drill. The ones that come with it simply will not get through windshield glass.

perfect size, fits in a dremel or regular 12volt drill, great quality bits, sharp and lasts for many uses
I've been repairing windshield chips for over 30 years now...these drill bits are required to drill into the glass down to the laminate in the windshield to allow the windshield resin repair material a place to go. These are the exact bits I have been buying for over 30 years, however as the years went my suppliers moved or closed.. I was very happy, but skeptical to try these. When arrived I found them to be perfect for the glass repair situation. They are the correct size and shape, and very strong! I use each bit aprox.10 times before replacing... I had previously used these in a cordless dremel tool with special collar to fit them..But that tool gave out one day,and before I could search for a replacement, my buddy said to just use my makita 12 volt drill instead... I did and thee drill bits fit! it is the 12 volt lithium smaller battery type drill. So when I use these drill bits, I use the drill on high speed and put very little if any pressure on the drill to glass.too much pressure will break the windshield.the hole size is perfect to allow resin to fill the chip and very small and is concealed after repair. great drill bits, great quality!

Skip Around
These are flat on the end, so if you don't already have a hole in the glass they slide around.

Micro drill bits for windshield repair
I ordered these bits as replacements for my windshield (rock damage) repair kit. I was a bit surprised at the size, but it makes perfect sense, you only require a tiny needle-like hole. The little zip lock bag the bits were in came in a large bubble wrap envelope, I almost threw the envelope away because I didn't notice the merchandise stuck in the corner. You must look very close or you may think the envelope is empty.

My opinion from the past 8 years of using one brand switching these are junk
Okay where do I start. I bought these to give them a try. I've been doing windshield repair for 8 years. I've been using one brand that entire time and one particular style of bit. I buy them from crack eraser. I thought I would try a different brand or a different style of drill bit. The bit works good when you drill into bad damaged area of a rock chip. But if you have a rock chip with a very tiny impact point where the bit Will not necessarily stay in one place.Let me explain. If you have a very crushed impact from a rock chip it works great It does. But that's not always the case. if you have a rock chip that has a tiny little impact point where there's just barely any surface damage. The drill bit will slide so, The bit will jump around and slide around on the windshield causing scratches. You can't get it to drill in one spot. The other problem is if you have a leg that needs to be stopped but say it's spread out maybe an inch I'll pass the rock chip. You can't drill without it sliding around on the windshield. Which causes surface scratches all over the place. So I'm comparing them from the ones I've been using for the past 8 years. They fit in my Dremel No problem I don't have to change anything out. They're the same diameter of the ones I was using prior which I am going to be going back to. I do also crack repair so if you have a 6-in crack and you need to put a little bullseye at the end of the crack to stop it again it slides around on the windshield causing surface scratches and all kinds of marks in the glass that doesn't need to be done. When using the other ones I can turn my Dremel on set where I want without the bit jumping and sliding around on the windshield causing excessive damage. I don't know where all the good reviews are from maybe friends I don't know but I think they're junk. I've given them a honest time frame of using them. I will never buy this brand again this is truly junk. I'll try to get some super close-up pictures to show the difference between the brand I was buying before and this brand. This is my experience with these bits.So the pictures show the two side-by-side. The ones from clearfield have the carbide teeth that are wrapped around the end of the bits. In my opinion that's what causes the jumping around and scratching the windshield. Versus the other brand I buy from crack eraser. And this is not an advertising for him. It's just what I've been using. The ones from crack eraser I can turn on my Dremel set it exactly where I want to on the windshield without it moving or jumping around or sliding and scratching the windshield. These are definitely going to be returned. It's my opinion I'm going back even though these are $3 cheaper it's not worth it I want quality repairs without causing excessive damage to someone's windshield.
