REED Instruments LM-8000 6-in-1 Multi-Function Environmental Meter (Air velocity/temperature, Ambient Temperature, Humidity, Contact Temperature and Light)

Bought for my environmental scientist wife, who now keeps it in her work backpack (which is a strong endorsement). We use the humidity sensor most. She has not calibrated it, we don't know how accurate it is, but the readings are useful anyhow.

Unit is lightweight, accurate and works as advertised.

Unfortunately, this turned out to be of no use to my friend I bought it as a birthday gift.No fault again, I just got the wrong gift for my friend who spends a lot of time on his boat.

****SCAM ALERT****I ordered the Reed LM-8000 but received the much cheaper Reed LM-81AM, a much cheaper product. Absolutely worthless. Being incompetent is fine, but do it on your own time, not mine.

Works as decribed

I like the product for its size and multi-purpose of checking temperature, humidity, lumens and air speed. Nevertheless, it should come with a case to pritect it. Making it optional is a little cheezy.
