FEREI W151 CREE XM-L 3-Mode 800-Lumen White LED Diving light Waterproof Flashlight torch

Got this out of the box and worked great.Took the battery out before dive trip and charged it, then put battery back in. Could not get it to work.Took it on the dive trip to see if I could fiddle with it while there and maybe get it to work. To my surprise it worked. Not sure what the deal was but had another light as I was afraid to rely on this one, luckily it worked on the entire dive trip.The turning switch that looks like a lock nut on the front of the light is a bit weird. If you turn it on, it comes on HIGH and doesn't allow you to just turn it back off. If you turn the deal again it switches through the modes. BUT, if you turn it on high and then wait a little bit the next turn will turn it off. So some sort of timer. At any rate, not very intuitive in my opinion but did get it to work.

Now with MORE stars WICKED bright for the money. Simple hex nut style twist ring just behind the bell of the lamp. Ergonomically very good feel and heft. Very good to twist and get high-medium-low light and then give one more twist to get strobe. So bright it will melt eyeballs, stun morays and make sharks flee...okay, maybe not. But still very bright.Addendum: GREAT customer service. Light performed well at depth and could be seen even further than the 40s foot viz we had that day. Recharges quickly with a brilliant beam.

Rechargeable battery is a plus. Never ran out of power during recreational use. The ring that is used to switch modes and turn it on and of can be jammed closed by a single grain of sand so don't get and debris on the light while diving. If you do shake the light to circulate water around the ring and bang it a little to dislodge the sand grain.

Worked as intended. Very bright and love the strobe feature for getting another divers attention. Only negative side is the ring used to turn on the light and adjust the light intensity as well as making it strobe is easily bumped into the on position so you need to check the light often while diving.

I love the size and brightness of this light. It is very compact and durable. Just used it on a two week dive trip. It was nice for peeking in the reef during the day, but it really proved its worth as my main light on a night dive. Wow-very bright. What I don't like about the light is the switch. I would prefer a specific on/off switch and then have the magnetic ring to switch between settings. It is too easy to switch to another setting rather than getting it all the way off.

I just purchased this light for a trip to the Keys. It is amazing how much light you get from such a small light. I was inside the wreck of the Vandenberg and it made everyone else's lights seem like toys. You won't be disappointed.

Great light. Haven't had a chance to dive with it but the waterproofing works in the bathtub.

Product was purchased for a dive trip I took last week. Light leaked on first dive, and now I can't return it!! What a waste of money!!
