Brother LC51C Cyan Ink Cartridge - Retail Packaging, Yields approx. 400 pages

This the 2nd LC51BK ink cartridge to fail in the same manner! Leaks ink in the slot of the machine making a horrible mess to clean up. The ink is very hard to get out of the ink cartridge slot in the printer. At the cost of cartridge it should not ever leak ! Not paying the premium for these cartridges again! The problem is made worse when you order in advance and by the time you find out the cartridge is defective it is too late to return! I'm done with this over priced product.

Some of the sellers listed for this entry substitute compatible ink cartridges with no warning, this having been the case with my order. The substitute may be fine; time will tell. The price was right, and I didn't feel like going to the trouble to argue with the seller about it; and to tell the truth, I don't believe that it deserved the courtesy. Others have complained, and no change has been made in the description.Just to be clear, there's no ambiguity: if the cartridge had merely been described as Brother, the vendor might be justified (in something of a stretch) in saying that Brother was simply the type, not the actual brand; but including the additional identifier Innobella makes it pretty darn specific that this should have been the genuine original. It's interesting that in the sale, the confirmation of sale, and the shipping notice the cartridge was always identified as Brother Innobella; it was only the packing slip that told the truth: "Brother Compatible."

My Brother Printer MFC-240C is 10 years old and using the Innobella cartridges is all I've ever used in it. These cartridges have never leaked ink and the printing is always clear with no marks or smudges.

Much better to buy here on Amazon than in person at any stores. The prices on Amazon are much, much cheaper for the exact same product. The only thing I don't like about printer ink, and this goes for all printers out there, is that it runs out quickly. Even if you don't print a lot!

I always like using the manufacturer brand name ink (and not some substitute) so I buy the Brother product. It works well and prints great. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that it is pricey (like all ink for ink jet printers) and, like all brands, it is hard to get the printer to let you use it until the cartridge is absolutely empty. The companies make the printers so they sense when the ink is low and stop printing. My machine takes three color cartridges as well. I put in three new ones, that I have not used hardly at all to print color (I use almost all black only), and they still run out of ink over time. I think it is due to the automatic cleaning function. It seems obivious to me that the companies make their money on the ink (not on the sale of the original printer) and do what they can to maximize the sale of ink. I think this is true of all the companies, not Brother in particular. Brother seems to be a good brand and I like the printer and ink.

I bought this ink cartridge because my Brother Printer was completely out of black ink! The seller had it for a real good price -- but that wasn't the main reason I got it from this seller.The main reason was because they offered a new and ORIGINAL ink cartridge from Brother.I've gotten ink cartridges from other sellers before and I thought I was getting an original Brother cartridge.Turned out they sent me a 'compatible' cartridge instead{not what I had ordered either}.I went ahead and used it{because my printer was out of ink}.Later on when Amazon requested a review of this seller,I let them know{though everything was fine},that I was not happy.The seller had not sent an original cartridge as the order had stated.The seller ended up giving me a refund on the order.THIS time I made sure I got an original Brother cartridge.I never had any problems with the 'compatible' ink cartridge,but when the order states an original ink cartridge -- then THAT'S what you're supposed to get!

Excellent OEM Brother inkjet cartridges are of the finest quality. Don't buy a generic substitute or you will be disappointed. I always make sure I have a spare cartridge on hand because the printer cannot run if any of the four cartridges are empty. Also, Amazon prices are less than at major office supply stores.

It works perfectly for the Brother Printer it is designed for. There is not much to say about it. The Brother Printer has worked perfectly for many years, and the ink cartridge is ok. Some persons find it uses excessive ink. For me it is ok. I have used the Brother Printer numerous times through many years, and so far it has been the best with the ink cartridges I have used by Brother. I would definitely buy it, as it has been very reliable for many years. I have not ever had a Brother Ink Cartridge to fail so far. Never damaged my computer and works as expected. So, if you are ok with a Brother Printer then this Ink Cartridge is ok.

Great product. I have tried other supposedly compatible products but they weren't close to this. I was very pleased with the delivery, cost and performance.
