I use this bit in my half inch router for flattening surfaces on logs so I can attach face plates for wood turning. I use a jig to hold the wood that allows me to surface it, but my 1/2" bit took too a lot of passes to complete the job. The new 2" bit makes short work of the process and does a great job. It cuts clean and fast, excellent for what I need it for.

This surface router bit was working very well. It could handle 1/8" hard wood (in my case) at a time as ease and with my powerful 1850 watts machine my project was finished very fast and smooth.

In full transparency I purchased this but to use for a homemade router sled. My first flattening job was two (2) solid Ash tabletops that measured 72"x48". I had to surface about 1/4" off both sides of both tops. First top I took very light passes, maybe 1/32". Did one side, flipped and did the other. On the second top I started getting in a rush to finish. First side I took 1/8" passes and it handled it decently (I stepped the bit over around 1" on each pass as the full 2" of bit was too much to cut). Flipped the top and tried going deeper on the final side and probably went 3/16". About halfway through I heard a loud bang and thought my router malfunctioned because it got extreme vibration. Slowed the rpm's down and finished the side and during my disassemble of my router I noticed one of the 4 cutters broke off the bit, causing the imbalance and vibration. So for what I put them through, it's well worth the price of the bit.

The bit works perfectly. The only thing is that it does need high rpm to plane well.

It does the job. No issues.

Perfect size and quality

Lot of burning. While leveling a Hickory slabs 16" x 5' x 2½, it started leaving burn swirl. In the 2nd pass at 3/32 depth. And no I wasn't going very fast. I think I just got a dull one!!
