I purchased cow ears different brands and in smaller quantities for my black labradors. They didn't last but an hour or so. This seemed like a good treats to get some rest while they chew away so I decided to purchase in bulk and be done with buying every week. As soon as this box came in I opened it and gave each dog an ear. Usually they chew for a good amount of time. While trying to separate these into seal bags the dogs kept staring at me like I played a joke on them. For the following week I tried giving them a new ear each day after finding their unchewed ear from yesterday. I've been getting these dos excited and giving them something they now take in their mouths spit off to the side hoping I have something they will chew on. I decided to Call Amazon since this is clearly a brand problem. The dogs loved ears of other brands. I noticed the false advertising while going over this with Amazon to send these back. They claim that each ears are 8-10 inches. I picked out the biggest ones I could find and the largest is only 6 1/4 inches. Maybe they meant that they were that size before cooking them but they are not even close to the advertised size. I am not sure if the ink stamped inside cow ears is bad for your dogs or not but I am not giving my dog a cow ear full of ink.

So with my dogs' favorite treat off the market (pig's ears), I was looking for a viable alternative. Better than Pig's Ears are loved but last about 30 seconds. I found these options and my dogs don't seem to know the difference. My only concern is that they seem pretty bleached (the pig's ears were likely bleached but then colored with food flavoring). And, my dog's are concerned because they do not last quite as long as the pig's ears. Perhaps pigs have thicker ears or the cow's ears are easier to chew (and, let's be frank, thinking about it too much is just off-putting). Either way, the cow's ears last longer than the fact better than pig's ears, seem to be enjoyed as much, but my two doodles blow through them in about 10 minutes (they weigh 40 and 45 lbs, so not too big). If you are looking for a good alternative, your dogs will not be disappointed.

These tasty chews keep my dogs occupied for at least 45 minutes each (which is good for the size dogs I have - 100lbs and 85lbs). When I open the "treat container" - they coming running and are willing to do any and every command to have one of these! These chews are NOT messy, which is a huge plus - other brands I have tried have left shredded pieces, stained my carpet and made my dogs sick. Ecokind has been wonderful and my vet approves of their use, that gave me GREAT confidence. A great gift for a new dog owners so you get them started on the right brand early. Puppies can chew on these for hours - much better than the furniture! Highly recommended!

My dog loves these! I save them for days that I have to be gone extra long or if it is too cold outside for a walk, and they are a great way to keep my dog busy for about 15-20 min! I have a pit bull who is a super chewer, but he also takes his time with things, so other dogs may take less time to finish one of these. They smell better than bully sticks and last longer, and are a more lean snack than peanut butter, so this is my go to! I also gave one to a dog I was watching (a small lab) who was really anxious because of fireworks, and it kept her busy for about 40 min and she was a lot calmer when she was done.

The first time I ordered these (one box for $70) they were awesome. They looked almost exactly like a pigs ear and seemed to be smoked or have some kind of flavor. My dog loved them. The second box I received was basically like plain beige rawhide, which my dog doesn't eat. I did subscribe and save and wasted $70 on a box that wasn't anything like the first. I don't understand the inconsistency. The second box looked nothing like the photos or the first box I ordered.

I guess I never realized how big a cows ear is until I got these. My dog loves them. We also gave one to our neighbors dog (a pitty) who gobbled it down. I love this brand and I buy from them often. Everything is super high quality.

My doxie absolutely loved these she’s normally a pig ear eater but since they have been on recall we haven’t been able to buy them so we decided to try these and I think she loves these more and so do I they last longer then pigs ears she would chew right through them in minutes each ear of these ones lasted her least was 2 days but usually a little more I will continue to buy these for her from now on!

Both my dogs- senior chihuahua and lab puppy liked these. But hey, they're dogs, are they really going to turn their noses up at anything? The big seller for me is I couldn't smell a thing. Several varieties I've had give off a horrible smell when they're chewing them. Puppy worked on it all day, senior dog still has leftovers for next day.
