My dog sliced off his entire thumb pad and was poring blood leaving a puddle wherever he stopped as soon as I got home I filled my hand with styptic power and jamed it on to the wound and held it fairly tight! It stopped bleeding within seconds! It does what it says on the tub! Great price point for the large tub, I purchased in the event it might be need it. 24hrs later I did.A quick dip in the powder stopped the bleed from a snagged claw ! It took all of 2mins, my dog carried on as normal ! I would advise others to purchase, this stuff works !

We have 4 Irish Water Spaniels, one regularly splits the end of his tail leaving the house looking like the chainsaw massacre. We’ve found it easy to just dip his tail in the tub, bleeding stops almost immediately & no apparent discomfort to the dog.

Dose what it's said it dose. Always like to make sure I have some to hand just to be safe, it's easy to clip off a bit of nail and catch the quick. Now I only take off the ends of the nails and alls gd

I'm sorry but I personally Dont recommend this product. I had a dog with cut on its ear. This product did nothing to stop bleeding
