This seller is so kind, caring, honest and the best you can get! The set was fantastic!!!
My son has high functioning autism and saved his money for a long time for this kit. He is interested in building and repairing engines and this seemed like a good starting point. This would help show him how intricate the work is. That said, he received the kit and the main base was warped. I contacted the seller and received a very fast reply. They offered to send a replacement part for the warped piece. But, my son was afraid that other pieces might number damaged too ( manufacturing issue). So he decided to return it. He was determined to get this kit that he’d been saving for. So, he ordered a second one, from the same seller. It was shipped quickly. This kit was perfect! He put it together in about an hour. He’s very dedicated . It went together perfectly. Even the lights, motion and motor sounds functioned perfectly too! I’m also happy for him. He had a fun time building this kit. Yes, the kit is a bit overpriced, but what isn’t nowadays. It helped educate my son to how an engine functions. I would like to give a huge heartfelt thank you to HQ Kites & Dedigns. Thank you endlessly for your kindness, attentiveness to the problem, and big heart! I would but from this seller in a heartbeat!!! You know they back up the products they sell. They are an honest and attentive seller, which is rare nowadays. Overall excellent kit, that made a young man having a hard time with life, right now, very very happy. Stay blessed!

That was fun!
This was a fun little project. Instructions/reviews say it is about a 3-hour project. But I recommend that you take your time and enjoy it.The instructions are very accurate. If you follow them, you will be successful. (I do recommend that you be careful about tightening things like the parts for the fan around the water pump. If it's too tight, it won't rotate the fan during operation.) All parts were present. I saw one review that said there was a missing part. If you don't look carefully, you may think that. A screwdriver with a magnetized head was provided- that was fabulous. I also used wire cutters and a utility knife. Towards the end of the project, I pulled out the ol' nail clippers- should have done that sooner as it would have made trimming easier. Be sure to trim off all the rough edges where it detaches so that you have a smooth operation at the end. It's pretty cute when it runs. The parts move and the sound of the engine is clear, unmuffled. (One review said the sound wasn't very good- can't agree with that.)It was packaged well and arrived relatively quickly. The manufacturer's packaging was very sturdy also.I'm very glad to have made this purchase. It was both fun and educational.

Great Kit
I bought this model for my son who likes mechanical things and used to own a Mustang. Due to an injury, he has the use of only one hand, but he was able to assemble the model. The pieces fit well, the instructions were clear, and when it was done, the model worked perfectly. I was amazed at the detail of the kit--that the valves open and close and the sparkplugs "fire" when they are supposed to, demonstrating the four cycle internal combustion sequence accurately. This would be a great parent-offspring project that is fun to assemble and informational/instructional.

All Reved Up
I enjoyed building this model which went together easily. The Color Assembly Manual included in the kit has a wonderful explanation of how the Mustang was developed and how it changed through the years. This kit is a good model for younger Auto enthusiasts' to build interest in America's Iconic Pony Car as well as learn the basics of how an engine works. about the only disappointment I had is the Oil Pan for this model is not clear and therefore, you can't see the crankshatf rotate. It is an expensive kit, but, as a '65 Mustang owner, It has a permanent place in my home office.

Exactly as described
The media could not be loaded. This rather pricey model does live up to the hype. Not difficult but adult supervision is advised. Pretty close to the 289 in my 1965 Mustang. Clean all burrs. Be advised, no way to turn the volume down (a bit annoying). Do not oil, it will ruin the plastic. If you feel lub is necessary, use wax...simple candle wax will suffice. (Bees wax even better)Anyway, this model is top of engineering and highly recommend if you're into it.

A very nice model
I gave this to my 16 year old Grandson as a gift. He loved it. The directions were very straight forward. He had it done in one evening. Works and looks great. This is a perfect gift for someone that doesn't like to spend a week on a model.

Expensive plastic junk
This was a total waste of money. I gave it to my husband as a gift. The entire thing took an hour and a half to build and most of that time was pulling the plastic assembly pieces away from the plastic frame. It's plastic and cheap. I can't believe I paid 200 for this hunk of junk. I should have returned it and you shouldn't buy it.

Fun project to do together.
The media could not be loaded. Just opened. There's already dents/cracks/scratches on the product. Not sure if there is a way to get the base replaced. Will update with more information.Update: the scratches on the bottom don't really matter as the engine mostly covers it.Was a really fun project. We just used side cutters and a knife to cut and trim everything down.My husband loves cars and it makes for a pretty cool display.
