Great product. Perfect fit for my RX350. Took about 30 mins to replace and tailgate now opens & closes perfectly

Exact replacement, works great.
Exact replace for the original. The rear hatch wouldn’t stay up, and automatic lift wouldn’t even function. Install was challenging since the position of the cylinder interferes with one of the bolts. So, had to tighten with an open end wrench since socket wouldn’t fit. But, the original was the same. Works like new now!

Easy install and should have done this when the car was purchased!
I could tell from the moment I got the '04 Rx330 "Rexy" that she was straining her gate lift motor. I thought it was likely due to wear and figured it would need replacing soon. After some cold weather, I noticed the OEM shocks were sagging pretty bad and the hatch was not lifting the last foot or so. Being 6'1" and car's at stock ride height, I was hitting the side of my head on the bottom of the gate when it was "lifted". The motor also sounded as if it was under considerable strain.Now that TuffStuffs are in, the problem is resolved. I can now stop worrying about the alternative: a much more costly lift motor repair/replacement. The motors are so expensive, it would likely be time to consider selling Rexy. Now we can get some more life out of her. I am doing delivery work and having the hatch lift itself completely (and faster) is really helpful.Only downside is the hatch is now noticeably harder to close. I prefer this over the previous worn OE shocks. Get 2 people to help install. I did it with one, but I know my way around tools and whatnot. I used a step ladder and some scrap wood shims to hold the gate at max lift. Job took maybe 25 minutes.

Perfect fit - very powerful
This set was a perfect fit and only took about 20 minutes to install. You'll need to prop up the hatch or have someone hole it up. It has enough power to actually the lift the hatch into full open position when it about 3/4 way up. No issues with power open/close.

One year later, still going strong!
My old one's were going pretty bad. Not so bad that the trunk wouldn't stay open, but I couldn't use the motor lift gate to open it, it would just give up and close itself. After installing these guys, the motor lift gate goes up and down without a hitch!
