Did not work in the Philippines. My wife’s expensive CHI hair straightener broke even when plugging it into the supposedly correct plug (the bottom one).

I am going to Spain and Italy this fall. I got this for my trip. I am excited that I will have this to be able to charge my phone and extra batteries. I will be able to use my hair dryer too. It has its own bag to make it easy to pack.

It worked well for my items but be cautious with the converter. Definitely don’t plug in anything you value into the converter plug- My hairdryer worked fine but it immediately blew up my traveling companions very nice hairdryer even though it fell within the parameters of what was supposed to work. Mine was very low wattage (950) and it struggled but worked. I did play it safe and took my old one just in case it blew. My curling brush worked fine in the adapter but was made for international travel. Works perfectly well for charging electronics. I will use it again but may invest in appliances from my destination (EU) in the future. This last trip was to Ireland and they use UK plugs. I have blown up hairdryers in the EU so I got the converter this time. Just be careful because even with this converter it may not work.

A little hard to use and very heavy

I purchased this power converter for my Italy trip and it worked great. It charged my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra using a charging brick without any issues and it was not extremely slow either. It charged fully in less than 2 hours. The adapters work great too and they stay on sturdy. I 10/10 recommend this if you are planning on traveling to Europe.

The device does not fully convert 220V 50Hz (European) voltage to 120V 60Hz (US). It only divides the voltage to fullfil the task. Unfortunately, this not fails toI purchased this item to power an egg cooker bought in US to function in Europe, but it failed miserably causing irreversible harm to the device. When I carried these all the way abroad and powered on for the first time, the Krups egg cooker was damaged for good.Dividing the voltage is not enough for most devices on the market today.
