Not very good I'm afraid, I replaced the original battery as I was only getting an hour and a half. This new one only last 2 hours, so not much better. i was expecting 6 hours or more as I used to get. I have also checked that no software is draining the battery. It is just not very good quality I'm afraid.

I’ve searched and tried with all my might to find a battery that is 1) compatible with my old MacBook Pro and 2) has a reasonable life. The issue that I’ve found with many is that after approximately a month, the life goes down from 8 hours to 4 hours. This is also borne out by the fact that the battery’s charging rate is low, so straightway you can tell that it’s on it’s way out. However, this one shows a charging rate of 6000mAh. I don’t know how much credibility you can take from that as 6 Amps seems to be a lot of current to be passing down a thin cable. In any case, out of the box, the battery is infinitely better than the others that I’ve fitted and was 30% charged & 1 month old out of the box.I’ll report back after a few months with the results of a few charge cycles.Well, after a year, the battery is still going fine, however there is one peculiarity in that the battery level seems to be fluctuating wildly. Eg sometimes it says that I have 8 hours left, then it will report that I have 2 hours left, and then jump up to 6 hours. Despite the fluctuations, I am still getting 6-7 hours use per charge.

Update: January 2023 battery still showing 103% health with Battery Health 2 and charging but now as soon as on battery drains extremely fast sometimes within 20 minutes down to 0% was still working fine till then. So 2.5 years was still lasting for 5-6+ hours and suddenly dropped to virtually nothing. So it worked out at about £24 a year as 24 x 2.5 = 60 and I paid £59.79 for this battery. It did work extremely well till it didn't. And though I thought it would last longer than 2.5 years looking at Sloda's competition it still seems to be the best battery currently available though obviously that for people to research and decide for themselves.This so far is a brilliant battery after the installation using the supplied tools including the plastic cards supplied to remove the old one, separating battery from the MacBook body, the glue. It was another replacement battery. I was testing the battery as a number of other batteries on Amazon had comments saying after 25 cycles their batteries started dropping off drastically and wanted to make sure this one did not within the 1 month return window. When installed and charged as the instructions that came with it suggested, the initial charge was 1003aHm, which then dropped and stabilised at 9978mAh. Though used mostly on charger at the moment when on battery the highest initial reading I have had for time remains using 'Battery Health 2' is 8 hours & 50 minutes no load. I have about 5 hours+ watching Netflix on battery, a couple of long films, testing how long it lasts on streaming films. Obviously using Photoshop or video editing on battery this drops further much more intense load. Though net browsing it is not unusual to get 6 hours 30 minutes+ on battery. After 33 cycles the current charged battery is 9946aHm, and still showing 8 hours + on battery when started up and no load, and still getting 5 hours+ on Netflix. The battery was manufactured a month before I received it, so fresh not been stored long. I will update if any sudden deterioration. See photos of Battery Health 2 readings. I hope people find this review helpful, as there are many replacement batteries out there but they are not all the same and then are a few other comments that go into detail about installing the battery.

These batteries should not be sold on the market, they are a massive con and they will actually blow your main board.

The media could not be loaded.  When I say the install off this battery was very easy I'm not exaggerating. The hardest part of it all is removing your original battery just purely because of the fact the glue used is on there very good. But after digging away with piece of string for a bit you're able to release it from the adhesion.The new battery fits like stock and you wouldn't know any difference from an official one, except the price. My battery life has improved drastically and i'm actually able to perform Tasks without having to be near a wall plug 24/7.

A brilliant way to save some money on the official batteries which cost a lot bit more - just be sure to check your Macbook is the right model for this battery! This is easily done by putting your serial number in on Apple's warranty check page on the website which will show which year and part of the year your release was so you can make sure it's suitable for this) then it's definitely worth the saving.Swapping the batteries isn't difficult to be honest, even if you've not done it before, and the instructions for replacing it are pretty straight forward if you read through them carefully before hand and then follow them, carefully. Also comes with the appropriate screwdrivers needed for both parts so you have everything you need straight from the box. This is good value and hassle-free so would recommend.
