BalanceOn Airceil Vetagel Pillow with Ergonomic C-Curve Design_with VETA-Gel and TANCEL Cover

I tried to get used to this, but try as I might, it was always trying to find a better position. Each time I tried it I ended up back with my "regular" pillow. Pillows are highly personal, mind you, and what works for one person certainly doesn't work for everyone, and vice versa. If you find yourself liking this type of pillow, it certainly is a high quality, well made rest stop for your noggin. I recommend giving it a whirl if this is what you're into, sleep wise. Just...perhaps don't throw away your old pillow the minute you get this one.

Firm and uncomfortable. I tried for half a night and was so uncomfortable I couldn't do it.

I tried sleeping on this just last night and I do not like how firm it is. I have another pillow with this same form factor and design philosophy that is much softer and lower cost. This one has the veta-gel honeycomb structure so that is a difference. To me, that did not feel like a value add here. It just made this pillow more expensive and still not quite soft enough. It is just basically a firm foam, low-profile pillow that is very expensive. The other similar pillow I have was less than half the cost, and for that reason I know there are better options out there. If you like a more firm pillow then you may be ok with this. I think it is better for back sleepers than side sleepers. I'm going to stick with it for a few more nights and see if things improve. I did not have to do that with my other pillow like this. It was comfortable from day 1, so maybe my expectations have been set too high. I'll update this review if something changes.

I slept on this pillow last night and found it to be firm and comfortable. I have a smaller similar pillow that is soft and comfortable. This firm pillow is great for sleeping on my back as it keeps my head steady and supported well. My smaller pillow does better for sleeping on my side. This pillow is a size king. Even though it comes with its own case it needs a case as the mesh material on the pillow does cause some scratching. The pillow is made in China and the instruction manual that comes with it is completely in Chinese. If you can read Chinese which I am not able to do I have no idea what it says. I was not sure how to use the pillow but the pictures on the box it came in did give me some idea. I am more of a side sleeper but I occasionally do like to sleep on my back so when I do this will be the pillow I will use.
