For some reason when I eat these chips, girls are more attracted to me.
I was playing cards with some neighbors, which I rarely do because games give me migraine headaches. The Conversation was about potato chips, so I got really serious and ask the table; “whats the best potato chip you’ve ever had?” I was disappointed because everybody gave generic brands. “Doritos” and such. I told them, “In my younger days, when I was a world traveler, while living in South Korea, I got an opportunity to visit the South eastern section of Australia. New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.” Back in the 80’s it was going to cost me $1,700, but i looked at it as it was a once in a life time opportunity, and I Joined the military to see the world. Well I added, “The money covered the flight, hotels (cheep) and a Continental breakfast and dinner. I was hungry the whole 2 weeks in Australia because I only had about $400 spending and I wanted to have a few drinks and tickets to take a few tours. The meals weren’t anything to brag about except the Australian potato chips was the best I ever had in my life. “”Red Rock deli potato chip”” came in 3 amazing flavors, but my fave was “Red Curry”. “ I told them, “those potato chips were so delicious, through the years I’ve often thought about flying to Australia just to bring back a couple duffel bags full of them.well, one of the teenagers at the neighborhood get-together, was listening to my story and he interrupted, as he held up his phone, “I’ll save you the flight! You can Oder those chips on amazon!” So I did! I ordered a box with all three flavors, 4 bags each (12 bags total). And they arrived this morning.I’ve been waiting all day for my neighbors to get home, so we could eat them. I was worried that maybe I thought they were delicious just because I was hungry, so I open one bad of the red curry, and was relieved because they really were as delicious as I remembered. Well at about 5:30 my neighbors were home and I started passing them out. Everybody loved them, and just as I was feeling good about my self I hear a few kids laughing hysterically inside of the unit two doors down, where the card game was. Out runs a girl, I can never remember her name, but she was laughing so hard she couldn’t get it out, then comes out the kid that told me I could order them on Amazon. He was laughing as he said, “You know you they sell this at Walgreens on Collins (2 blocks from our apartment building) he added, “They sell them at 711 and whole Foods also. So I went from “The Awesome connoisseur of potato chips” to the Village idiots in less than 5 minutes. One of my neighbors just told me, “When we were in Virginia, visiting our son, we eat at the best hamburger place ever! Next time we go will bring you one! They call their restaurant McDonald’s! Hahaha!”I Close the door and eat my last bad of Red Rock Deli , potato chips.I said all this to say, YES! Buy them! You’ll love them!

don't share these, ever!
Trust me on this piece of advice. As soon as these chips arrive hide them, don't ever let anyone else try one. I'm not joking here, these are amazing and unique in flavor. IF YOUR LET ANYONE "TASTE" ONE CHIP YOU WILL BE OUT OF CHIPS WITHIN A MATTER OF MOMENTS. As a family of 7, we go through food really quickly. Most week days we have a bag of chips with lunch, the kids all like regular chips, non of them like curry OR coconut. I DO like curry and coconut, so I decided to give these chips a chance. The first bite was amazing, soon all the kids were asking to "try one chip" silly me, I figured that no one else would enjoy these, WRONG! I got 1, 1 bag of these. Don't be me, hide the goodness and eat them in the closet at midnight, like a normal parent. ( Alternatively you could buy enough to share )

2 out of 3 flavors are unique and really good; Lime and Pepper is the best
These were on sale (50% of similar variety box) and I was right in suspecting that what I was buying was probably near the expiration date (bought end of Feb, expiration 21May2019). Not a big deal as I know these will get consumed. I just wished that Amazon would make their food or pantry listings include an obvious expiration date. Of the 3 flavors Himalayan salt is OK but I would not go out of my way to buy this salted brand. Of course I do not understand people who go gaga over pink/Himalayan/colored salt which is just NaCl with impurities (AKA dirty salt). No doubt the impurities add some terroir but not worth the cost. I found the red curry coconut to be a unique and nice flavor. The chili pepper heat would make it hard to eat these in volume so this size of bag was quite nice before burning out my taste buds despite the soothing coconut. My favorite flavor is the lime and cracked pepper. Lime and chili pepper/jalapeno chips/tortilla chips are usually overly salted or overly hot so I found this to be a nice change with more acid than heat with a nice balance. The cracked pepper is subtle so I lightly sprinkled some chips with water and fresh cracked pepper and then microwaved for 30 sec. This boosted the heat from the black pepper (I think I'll try milder Sarawac white pepper next time) but it loses most of the citrus flavor. I do like lightly warmed potato chips so my next variation will be to also sprinkle the chips with powdered Just Lime or citric acid to boost the acid along with the cracked pepper. It did not seem like the water was needed to get the pepper to stick and the microwave heat may have melted the flavorings ingredients which likely contained the acid responsible for the lime flavor (there was only drops of water and not enough to wash the flavor off the chips). If you try to microwave your chips watch them and microwave for 15-30 seconds at a time or you could end up starting a fire due to the oil and dried material you are heating. These lime cracked pepper chips are an excellent guac dipping chip and were also good crumbled over a spinach salad with a vinaigrette dressing.

Love the Variety Pack
These are almost as good as the Aussie originals The red rock line in Australia is much larger but so glad to be able to get the lime cracked pepper and sweet chilli flavour here, its just like the Aus versions.I've seen reviews on here saying not enough flavour on the chips which I understand because American chips especially jalapeno flavoured, tend to be stronger, often so strong, they burn your tongue, these are much lighter- which I love but I grew up in Australia so I have a different preference. I'm hoping they bring over the honey soy flavour next and the balsamic salt and vinegar. Please restock variety packs RRD! I'll be buying regularly!

3 stars for missing merchandise
Product arrived in individual bags in original shipping box, did not come with a branded Red Rock box like In other review photos. Other than that chips were fine but was disappointed as I have to throw each one of these bags individually into the pantry, instead of having the nice red rock box to store them all in.
