Fun and family friendly
I love the original Betrayal at House on the Hill, and got this for my sister because we loved Scooby Doo growing up. There aren't any young kids in our family, but it was very well thought out to adapt the original game for new and young players.Part of the difficulty with Betrayal is the need to separate for the Haunt. In this version, the Haunt can be learned together, and you choose who plays the Monster. No one can be eliminated from the game, only stunned for a turn. I would also say that so far, the Haunts seem more balanced than the original. If you're a fan of Betrayal, there are a lot of rule differences, but all of them make sense thematically and help make the game kid-friendly. There's also a nice summary page in the rulebook that outlines the major differences. If you haven't played Betrayal, the rulebook is comprehensive and you'll pick it up pretty quick!

LOVE THIS GAME. Good intro for kids to prep for the Betrayal at the House on the Hill Game.
We loved this game. We already liked the more complex Betrayal at the House on the Hill game. This simplifies things, but only a little bit, so the game mechanic is not lost. It is good for older kids, not the little ones. Box says 8+ for age- I agree and add that it depends on the emotional/ behavioral maturity of the 8yr old. Our 8yr old in question probably should wait a year. We test played it 2x before deciding who we should invite to the table to play. We will plan on running a different game for the younger kids. I loved the Scooby Doo theme and so did my older son who watched the show. For kids that never watched Scooby Doo, it might be less exciting.

Scooby Doo Betrayal at Mystery Mansion Enjoy
It so cool can't wait to play it my friends I'm glad I only got to pay $20 for it because the other betrayal games are way thicker and expensive than this one but I still like it I so recommend

A Spooky Fun Twist on a Classic – Perfect for Family Game Nights!
Betrayal at Mystery Mansion with Scooby-Doo is a fun, spooky twist on the classic board game! The Scooby-Doo theme adds a nostalgic touch, and the gameplay is engaging, with plenty of twists and turns. I love how each playthrough feels different, and the mix of strategy and mystery keeps everyone on their toes. The game is easy to learn but offers plenty of depth, making it enjoyable for both younger and older players. It's a perfect addition to family game nights or Scooby-Doo fans looking for a new challenge!

Great Family Game!
I love the Betrayal games, and I was very excited to get this for my kids! I have a 10 year old and an 11 year old, and this is very fun to play as a family with them. I love that each game is different, and even if they pick the same mystery starter, you are going to have different experiences. We try to role-play the storyline or give it a bit more information when moving around the game; often I am the one who sort of dungeon master's the play through. It makes it exciting! "Daphne opened the door on the left of the dining hall, and found a hidden office." Often times there are clues or items that are found in the room as well, "Daphne found a clue under a painting...."

Betrayal, with a twist!
As a lover of Scooby-Doo, I would recommend this product to other Scooby-Doo fans or the Scooby-Doo fan in your life. It follows similar rules to the original Betrayal, but gears it more towards kids, so the gameplay is a bit easier. Mostly in terms of haunts and the death mechanic. There is only a ground floor and an outside to explore, which is a fun twist. The haunts are based on the nostalgic Scooby-Doo Where Are You mysteries which really put the cherry on top for me as a fan of Scooby-Doo and Betrayal. Would highly recommend!
