Love the belt but you need to know how it works before you put it on lol. Like any other belt you just put it on. Talk about panic mode felt like I put on a zip tie and couldn’t get it off. Had to release it from the other end where the cut end of the belt goes into the buckle. Yup live and learn since it didn’t come with directions. Also what’s great with this belt if your planning on loosing weight you can cut the other end.

Ratchet belts are great for precisely cinching the belt to your individual waist comfort. This one has nearly a half inch wide alligator-style strap that is ideal for wearing with jeans; and it has a handsome eagle head buckle. Ratchet belts have a variety of ways to disengage the ratchet to allow for loosening or adjusment; this one has a button on the bottom of the underside that you have to push upwards.

Usually I’ll only write a review when I’m pissed off with an offering. Not today. This belt is great for jeans, calual wear, or any time you might just want a more rugged solution (like wearing a holster), and it’s the first ratchet belt I’ve found in 36mm width. Conventional wisdom usually dictates that the low cost solution is deficient in some way. Not with this product. If it holds up over time, it’s a winner. Can you tell I’m happy with it?

I have multiple ratchet belts, but they're all the narrower "dress belt" size. This product listing is difficult to navigate, as it is a mix of dress and jeans belts. The wider jeans belt comes in only a couple of buckle styles, so take care that you've got the width you want.The belt looks nice and the ratchet mechanism works ok, though it is harder to release than other ratchet belts I have, requiring you to pull on the loose end to relieve some tension. I did note that even though I take a size 40 belt and ordered the "40/42" size, it really is too short and it catches just the first couple of ratchets. If were to order again, I'd get the next size up. I'm a bit puzzled that this is needed as all my ratchet belts to date have come with a single-size long belt that you cut to fit.

This belt is great for jeans and casual pants when you don't want a dress belt and want something more sturdy. Well made with thick leather that support a small tool belt, etc.Check the mechanism before putting on for the first time as it works a bit different than others (push down instead of up). Buckle is easy to insert. Very happy with purchase.

These ratchet belts are so good I bought two of them back to back. I think these are also called automatic locking belts. They are really convenient as they have no pin and holes, just push it in as it clicks and that's it. Loosening the belt is as easy as pushing a button and a single finger, no kidding. Ever since I had my first ratchet belt a few years ago there's no turning back. I highly recommend anyone to try these and ditch the conventional pin and holes belt. These belts are made of good genuine leather and the metal pieces are made with high quality metal alloy. Just loving them.

First off let me say that this is my third ratchet belt that I've owned. I'm a 32" waste so often when I buy a ratchet belt I end up paying for a large section of leather that ends up getting cut off and wasted. This is the only company that offered a smaller size for cheaper and it literally fit perfect...no cutting needed. I could tell immediately that this was genuine leather and it was of higher quality than the other two belts I purchased. My last belt was 1.38" wide and it wasn't wide enough so width is something I paid attention to this time around. The width of this belt is perfect! It's a stylish belt buckle and it operates very well so I literally have zero complaints. Definitely give this belt a try! I've also purchased two other ratchet belts that I returned because they weren't wide enough or the material felt and looked cheap.

Haven't had the belt long, so I won't comment on durability. But the belt quality is very good. Nice leather with ratchet system.This seller/manufacturer has a particularly smooth ratcheting system with little noise. So that was a nice surprise. All my other ratchet belts are a little loud.The lion buckle (round) is very well designed. It's not to ostentatious but is very distinguishable.However the dark area of the buckle (non-lion, non-metal) face has a more shiny plastic (more plastic than "lacquer" style) look than I thought or would have liked. The item picture is still pretty accurate so I won't take anything off for that.The belt fits exactly as was indicated.I like it a lot. It's my current favorite belt.
