So i read the reviews before buying one, then i watched Daft's kickstarter video showing the features of the comb. I was alittle hesitant since it had mixed reviews. Well i got it in the mail today. First thing i did was pull it out of its packaging and tried to open it. It felt smooth but had alot of resistance and i couldnt tell if it had magnets or not. I was trying to compare the comb i got to the ones on their official website and it looks identical, and Its sold on amazon by the actual company, so it must be legit right? so how come these other reviewers are claiming its aluminum, and theres no magnets, and the body is flimsy? those people are full of Sheet. I grabbed a magnet i had and it attracted to the metal body telling me its steel, the shine the body has tells me its stainless steel so i dont have to worry about rust, then i got a steel screwdriver and touched it to the magnets that are in the comb head and yup those are some strong magnets, but how come it doesnt react like the one in their video? well theres a set/adjustment screw on the side of the body and all it took was a penny to loosen it slightly and the comb functioned EXACTLY like their video. I was able to push out the comb alittle and flick it open and it stays erect with those magnets, i was really impressed with the flicking action. Next up i started to analyze the frame of the comb. So i know its stainless steel but how durable is it? well i have strong man hands and i could barely flex the frame with my hands. That frame is hella strong and im confident the comb head will never get damaged from the frame failing. That other review where some desk jockey broke it must have been really fat and had it in his back pocket or it was a lie since im 325 lbs and it doesnt get bent in my back pocket when i sit down. Overall Im so damn impressed with this comb that im gonna make a review video on youtubes. Thanks Art for making a kickass comb at a great price.

This is an item that every man should add to his EDC (Every Day Carry) list. This comb is well made and my wife laughs that I carry a "Man Comb." as additional proof of my "Manhood!" LOL First let me tell you the caveats, the protective sleeve is not steel it is aluminum; the comb is not the most formidable plastic; and there are magnets that hold it open or closed. Now what makes this worthy of 5 stars; the aluminum sleeve is more than capable of protecting the plastic comb when folded up; and the comb won't break under normal use and maybe then some (I'm sure it would not stand up to extreme conditions in the open position).This is an EDC "Man" item that goes along with his cell phone, wallet/money clip, keys, watch, pocket knife, multi-tool, sunglasses, pocket flashlight, challenge coin, and firearm(if appropriate). The bottle opener is great and therefore "a man" doesn't have to carry one on his key chain. The comb is small enough to fit in any pocket and will not bend when sat on. I use my comb on my mustache, beard, and hair.It is a little pricey and you could probably get a cheaper - all plastic model, but it will not be as sturdy and prestigious to carry as the "Man Comb." After a year of use, I highly recommend this to all men with hair to comb. :-)

Very light, slim design that fits smoothly in your pocket, it looks much more durable in the photo. Engravings are okay, comb looks replaceable but overall when combing my thick hair it feels very cheap and not strong, so I switched it to my beard comb. P.S can opener comes in handy.

Great folding comb. I use it throughout the day to fix up my hair if it gets out of place. The size of the teeth of the comb are perfect for even combing very thick hair. It's sort of hilarious that it is called Man Comb. The comb also stays in place when open nicely. Also, having a bottle opening is a cool feature. It never gets caught on anything for me and is well design. The whole comb is a work of art with the nice etching to the strong material the comb is made out of.

Just received and it arrived very quickly. Only used it once so far but like the way it combs out the beard. Must admit though that the teeth gap is bigger than I'd hoped so it's not the best for mustache grooming or guys with short beards. But overall im happy with the purchase.

I am truly impressed with this product from Design And Fresh Thinking! Don’t believe all the negative reviews about this product or any of its other versions/styles. It’s of premium quality for a steal of a price. I don’t know how I managed without it! I have unruly hair that is a huge pain to style. This more than does the trick! Definitely pick one or more up! Also, this and all Man Combs are laser etched with amazing designs on their stainless steel handles with brass screws and magnets in their polycarbonate combs. Don’t listen to anyone who says otherwise. As far as carrying The Man Combs on your belts, you’ll require the leather case. Honestly, this is a great idea! But the comb is cheap and the metal sleeve that the comb folds into is extremely flimsy. I bought this for a present... and it's already bent, broken and in the trash after 2 days in someone's pocket (he has a desk job).

It's a nice comb, but it looks a little more high quality in the photos shown. Fits well in my pocket, but definitely seems overpriced for what it is. No return policy on this either as the icing on the cake. Nice, but wouldn't recommend, all things considered.
