Battery life, audio video quality, object avoidance
Drones have been generally available to consumers for awhile now. Is it unreasonable to expect object avoidance now?

This is a great package for beginners
Savage DronesDrone Review, DJI Mini-1/Mavic Mini Fly More ComboPrice on Amazon on 22-07-26: $449.99Best feature: A fully complete starter package for a drone that’s easy to learn, and a delight to fly.Worst feature: Screen mount below the control sticksSummary: B+ This was the first drone in the DJI “Mini” series. The naming conventions within the Mini line aren’t linear, and some people refer to this as the “Mini-1”, as I do. It’s important to note that this price is for a FULL starter kit, the Fly More Combo. The DJI Mini-2, still in production, is a significantly better drone, but the Fly More Combo for the Mini-2 costs $600. If that price difference doesn’t matter to you, get the DJI Mini-2 Fly More Combo instead. But if this is the price point you’re looking for in a full starter kit, I don’t know of a better drone on the market than the DJI Mini-1.Some of the highlights:1) This kit has a very nice hardcase included. The Mini-2 Fly More Combo comes with a soft case, which just doesn’t cut it if you like hardcases. There is no Fly More Combo at all for the DJI Mini-SE, which is the successor to the Mini-1.2) The included prop guards are a must if you want to fly the drone inside.3) Early in the production run for the Mini-1, it got a reputation for really terrible wind resistance. However, that was largely cured with a later firmware update. I routinely fly my Mini-1 in 10 -15 mph winds.4) If you’ve only flown lower end drones before this, you’ll find that the ability of the Mini-1 to hover is just astounding. If at any time when you’re learning to fly you find yourself in a situation that you don’t like, or don’t understand, just let go of both control sticks, and this little gem will just sit motionless in the air, and await your next instruction.5) Personally, I have an aversion to buying drones that are no longer in production. If that doesn’t bother you, this could well be the drone for you.6) The Mini-1 uses regular WiFi for control and video transmission, while the Mini-2 uses Occusync 2, the more advanced DJI control technology. This significantly limits the practical range of the Mini-1 compared to the Mini-2.7) The camera is good, but it’s only 2.7 K resolution, while most drones in this price range have gone to 4K resolution. But unless you’re a real video nerd, you probably won’t notice the difference when you play it on a television display.8) The design of the remote controller, with the screen mount underneath the control sticks, is just awful. It’s easy to fly, but in direct sunlight the screen of my cell phone turns to glared out mush. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 Note. There are great, cheap sunshades for the Mini-2, which has the phone mounted properly ABOVE the control sticks, but I have yet to find a good sunshade for the “below the sticks” configuration, and I’ve looked hard. I confess that I’m more sensitive to easy viewability of the screen than many people, but I only fly the Mini-1 when I can sit in the shade.9) The Mini-1, like the Mini-SE and the Mini-2, need to use the DJI Fly app. I’m very happy with the DJI Fly app, but it doesn’t run on all phones. Before buying this drone…or any other drone that needs DJI Fly…you should check to see if your phone can run DJI Fly. You can download it FREE from DJI.Conclusion: This is an excellent drone package for new drone pilots! One of the challenges when shopping for drone packages is that you need to make sure that you do an “apples-to-apples” comparison. Just looking at the price can be misleading, but things may be included in one package, but not another. I have yet to fly a drone with enough endurance that one battery would be sufficient for a day’s flying. This package comes with 3 batteries, and a charging hub, which is very useful. I’ve never used prop guards, but if you’re going to fly indoors, you want them. This package also comes with a very nice hardcase for travel, which many drone packages don’t. If all those things matter to you, and you’re on a budget, this may be just the package for you. If this is your first drone, you’ll love this easy-to-learn little gem.

Keeps Crashing
When flying this item forward it descends rapidly for now reason. I have a full size Mavic Pro and DJI Standard and been flying for over 6 years. I did all the updates and calibrated it. I went on forums and someone suggested changing the front props with new ones. I ended up changing all the props and hope this world help. Long story short it still will descend while going forward for now reason, Its pretty much useless to fly. I don't trust it at all. To late to return it. Kind of at a lose on this item. I've flown many, many hours so I do know what I'm doing. Well said my peace....
