Beautifully fragrant, sweet,(and organic!), osmanthus flowers. I will definitely be purchasing these again...
I'm honestly stunned by the quality! These flowers are beautifully fragrant! I did not purchase these for tea, as I find osmanthus to be bitter if you over steep it, and I tend to over steep my tea, lol! If you are purchasing this for tea, be sure not to over steep, as you'll end up with a bitter cup of tea. A few minutes is all you need to steep to taste the sweet osmanthus without it turning bitter. I personally purchased these osmanthus flowers to make a homemade hydrosol and an extract with grain alcohol. These osmanthus flowers smell god scent and heavenly! A very sweet, beautiful floral fragrance. I used half the bag to make 4 ounces of hydrosol. It has a beautiful, sweet aroma. I used the other half of the bag to fill a 4 ounce glass bottle with the dried flowers, then covered/filled the bottle with grain alcohol. It is currently infusing for the next 6-8 weeks. I shake it every now and then. These osmanthus flowers are fresh, fragrant, and USDA organic! I will definitely be purchasing again.

It's worth nothing without the sweet fragrance. I suspect it was treated with sulfur
The osmanthus tea has no fragrance at all. It totally loses its most valuable part of nature. It's worth nothing without the sweet fragrance. I suspect it was treated with sulfur. I had a bag of authentic osmanthus from China which has been sitting there for five years and is still full of fragrance every time I open the bag. There is no comparison. I am very disappointed.

A lovely, delicate tea
This has a delicate, sweet taste. The scent is lovely. I don't use sugar or honey in tea, but if one does, I think that might enhance the flavor (but it could also overwhelm it). The instructions seem to have been translated from Chinese by machine and are very confusing. I tried to follow them, but my results were better when I just steeped the tea in barely boiling water for nearly three minutes (three minutes seems a tad too much, at least with the water at the boiling point). I think rinsing it (and reusing it) depletes the flavor, or at least the scent. (I think the tea might be calming, but that feeling could have been coincidental.)I read about this tea in Ruth Reichl's great book Delicious! (her first work of fiction--she used to be the editor for Gourmet and has written many fabulous non-fiction books). I was excited I could find it, and it seems well packaged.

At first I loved it, but now...
I got close to the bottom of a bag and found a piece of paper and a bug in with my flowers. And I just ordered a new bag which I will be returning ASAP.

you're going to have to mix it - which I like to do
This is all Osmanthus flower - so if you're looking for one w/actual green tea, you're going to have to mix it - which I like to do. I can control how flowery my Oolong tea is. :)

Smells so pretty!
The flavor of Osmanthus flower is so delicate and sweet. I like to combine mine with longan honey which seems to enhance floral aroma even more!
