Achla Designs GBS-07 Trestle Gazing Ball Wrought Iron Globe and Toadstool Stand, Small, 7 3/4-in H, Black

A little lighter in weight than anticipated for a cast iron stand but I'll anchor it in the ground somehow so our deer crossing the yard daily don't knock it over. Will also "glue" the Trademark Innovations Stainless 8" Gazing Ball to this stand to keep it from being blown away during our high wind here. I believe I'll be very pleased with the look of this in my xeri-scaped front yard.

This stand is not only well constructed (level and sturdy), but it's the perfect height for my application. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it did not fit my Kitras 12" gazing ball. The Kitras balls are extremely beautiful because they are hand blown, but this causes the "stem" of the ball to be larger than other 12" gazing balls...so my ball's stem was too big to fit in the stands "cup".If you're looking for a stand that will work with Kitras 12" balls the "Achla 31-Inch H Spiked stand" fits well. I'm keeping this stand though because I plan on using it with a different 12" gazing ball.

It's cute but doesn't hold gazing ball snug. My dog touched the ball and it fel off of stand and broke.

Really love the height, it also is very sturdy and looks great in the garden. No rust either.

While the dimensions are there, was shorter then I imagined... but good and sturdy even on a windy day

The stand was just what I wanted. I did not want it too tall for fear it would fall over and I used a glass globe. I have 2 tall spinners and this looks great with them.

I was initially pleased with this gazing ball stand but it was a little dusty and after disposing of the boxes I gave it a little dust with a soft cloth. However a sizeable bit of paint flacked away from the centre piece and I cut my finger as the rest was so very jagged. As I had disposed of the boxes I cannot now return it. So if you buy one check this first before throwing away your boxes. I would have contacted the seller but coulnn't find where to do so. See photo's
