Very good value for money
Despite the instructions not being designed for 55 year old eyes, it's easy to use, and caused me to come over all Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen lol.Good amount of tips, great pack all round.Love it

Time consuming and not as easy as it looks!
I needed this to make my own household sign, and after reading the reviews I thought I’d give it a go and save some money on having a sign made up.Although this is a nice idea, it’s very fiddly, tiny temperature dial, instructions are dreadful and it takes forever to actually burn wood to any decent level. It took me one nearly 2 hours of sitting still, arm crooked and locked, hand stiff after holding the burner for so long to actually make any progress on my sign. It’s certainly not as easy as everyone makes it sound, it’s extremely time consuming and yes, my tip also bent because of the heat and constant pressure on the pen.I’m just glad my sign isn’t too long or I’ll be at this for weeks! I tried several tips before I found the one that worked best for what I needed and even then you have to be extremely precise if you want any decent lines. I was having to steady my hand and prop it up the entire time I was burning, to the point where my hand went numb.It’s great for crafting tiny little mdf effigies and card making etc. but anything higher that than and you’ll have your work cut out for you (not pun intended).It doesn’t smoke as much as I thought, so I’m glad I didn’t also purchase a smoke filter, just not needed.It’s ok, I’m not overly thrilled, I’ll be here all week burning my house sign, I know I will and I’ll pay for it with stiff elbows and hands! But I’m saving money and making a unique piece of art - so mustn’t grumble!

Crafter finally found a decent starter set that is a great price
Fantastic way to get yourself off the ground with decent quality and everything you need. Easy to use would be happy to recommend and if I need more I will bye again And again. Five stars seems not enough

It’s not a pen! It will burn you.
Brilliant easy to handle with safety in mind. As a beginner I’ve a lot to learn but the practical technique is straight forward just like writing. It’s going to take a bit of practice to get used to making it look how I imagined the finish to look and so learning how to use the different nibs is important but I’m impressed with what I’ve accomplished already.
