I only cared about the material as I plan on using it with my Cricut, but I got curious because some of the reviews seemed to indicate that this would be a terrible product for beginner jewelry makers: It's not.I gave up on the pliers that came with the kit because they're stubby & my jewelry pliers are much better, but the hole punch & jump ring opener work just as well as the ones I have & the cute little stencils have a nice weight to them that makes them easy to use. This is a great starter kit for your budding jewelry maker minus the pliers (you can get fantastic 3 in 1 jewelry pliers for like $8 from Michael's - Brand is Bead Landing). That's just my two cents on the matter, I would have loved this kit as a teen. Obviously you're getting cheaply coated metal here. If this is an issue, just use the jump rings provided along with some real gold, silver, etc. piercings & swap them around if you can't afford too many. Go to the thrift store, second hand clothing stores, or shop on eBay to pilfer some materials from existing jewelry. Upcycling is an awesome way to get cheap material!The only drawback to anyone purchasing this is going to be the back part of the material, it's not at all attractive, but neither is real leather. I feel it's as simple to remedy as attaching iron on vinyl or another piece of the material to the back with some leather edge paint. Viola!Now... My fellow Cricut & Silhouette users:I like the material overall. It's thin enough that you don't need a deep cut blade, but thick enough that it has substance; think cardstock. I purchased it to make Jewelry Cuffs & think it's going to work perfect! You do need a Strong Grip mat, I tried with my Light because I was curious & it's a no go. Setting wasn't complicated at all, it cut just fine on the custom Faux Leather setting with high pressure using my Cricut Air 2. I cut out a fairly simple design with a lightly used normal blade & it cut like butter; I'm fairly confident that it will cut more complicated designs no problem.

This product is so worth every penny. Not only were the sheets gorgeous, they were extremely easy to work with. This is probably one of the best deals out there! Will totally reorder this product.

Great selection of faux leather and stencils. Good quality of items.The only dislike I have is that the “water soluble” pens stained the backs of the faux leather. I scrubbed with a Tide To Go stick, tried stain remover and dish soap and nothing got it off.

I bought this earring making kit even though it was only rated two stars. I am confused as to why it is only rated two stars because the only problem I have with this kit is that the hole punch is to big for the earrings so I have had to hand hole punch them myself. (which I have already been doing) The colors match the pictures and the backing on this product is way better than the other products I have been purchasing. I had no problems with shipping. I will be ordering this kit again in the future.

Loved this! I got a cricut explore air 2 for Christmas and have started making earrings & it’s perfect to get started with! You could do one sided earrings or double up on the sides!

The leather was ok quality. The earring hooks were awful. Half of them were missing the round bead or spring piece i can't tell you how many of them snapped in half when I had to use pliers to turn the hook even a little bit. Also pens do not write on dark fabric so I had to go buy a chalk pen to stencil any fabric with a dark back.

Each faux leather piece was designed to be light weight yet not cheaply designed in anyway, the sparkly textured leathers were thickly glittered with no shedding of sparkles! It came with little stencils. Very cute

I just got my package this morning. I took everything out and had a pair of earrings made within less than 10 minutes. I can't wait to get home and use my vinyl machine to make some cuts and get more made. My girls are going to love these too!!
