This in a die grinder is positively magic for taking paint off steel or cleaning surfaces for welding.My goto paint remover used to be an ancient 20 pound 2.5HP industrial angle sander with a wire cup wheel which I thought was the magic tool of paint removal. On anything other than a very large flat surface, these wheels in a very cheap pneumatic die grinder completely outclasses that beast from the age of industry.You will be sad for the misspent hours of paint removal in your foolish younger days.Do be careful, I snagged an edge, jumped the tool, and touched the edge of a spinning disc to a finger pad. It does not cut you, it does not tear you, it does not burn you… it will absolutely disintegrate without leaving any trace the volume of flesh you move that disc through. So, um, maybe a little less holding the small part in one hand which polishing with the other.

This is a great product for what it is. The included holder is gold, works well and holds the sanding discs well. This is not a heavy-duty industrial product that can take hours of abuse. it is for home mechanics, or homeowners who need a light duty product. Having said that, I used it to remove silicone gasket maker and gasket material from the upper plenum of my intake. It worked well and I used about 2.5 discs for a 5.0 liter V8 Ford engine. I did not have to use excessive pressure as the disc cuts well at first. By completion the discs were worn smooth and I used the last one to polish off any material left and leave a smooth finish.

Long lasting. Good variety of grits. Quick change. The coarse removes material well. The fine polished nicely. Using these on my bronze sculptures. Better value by far than Harbor Freight’s equivalent.

I was an Automotive/Truck technician and used roloc abrasives like these for years. They were the 'go-to' when preparing surfaces for mating or sealing using an air powered die grinder. I'm retired now and have found a new use. I'm using 90 degree adapter with a drill chuck on my cordless impact driver to grind/polish off the calcium deposits from my pool tiles. I've done this task using scrapers and sandpaper for a couple of seasons until the light bulb over my head came on. I'm a bit embarrassed that it didn't occur to me sooner. This method and product works great.

I bought this 48 piece 2in twist disc set half expecting them to fall apart like so many other "cheap" discs do. I keep a little bottle of CA glue handy just for this happenstance. However, these little guys are champs. I've used a couple of each so far, and they have held up beautifully. The included tool didn't want to stay together, but a drop of threadlock solved that.For the price, this set was fantastic. The only thing that even might have been better is a nylon insert on the tool or a drop of dry thread lock, and the discs could stand to he a bit more robust. I'd say I got only about 80% of the use I get from more expensive discs, but that's totally fair since these were less than half the price.Good job guys! Hope my next set is just as good.
