I haven't gotten to like really use it but so far its sturdy and parts very well. Point isn't sharp but a bit rounded for safety. Came in this cute bag that j repurchased for hair types and ruberbands.

The rat tail is thick so it takes about 2 tries for thick hair to part evenly but the comb is the best.
