I'm going to call it a good frame
Okay, so I spent more time putting together the headboard I bought to go with this bed. I should have taken pictures, but it really was super easy to put together! The main parts of the frame simply unfold and lock into place, then you have to bolt on the legs - easy enough. Then you're ready to attach the slats, which is also simple enough. The frame will allow you to attach a separate headboard, as shown. My headboard came with its own hardware to attach, but I ended up buying some separate hardware from Home Depot because the washers were pinching the metal of the frame. It is also worth mentioning that this frame holds up pretty well, it's very stable. So far no squeaking, creaking, bending or anything else. And it definitely holds up to vigorous adult activities, even when involving more than two people.

Very heavy duty bedframe
I liked the sturdiness that this bedframe has... no noise so far... fairly easy to assemble for a 70+senior! Also has plenty of space for storage underneath as well so overall I'm happy with this purchase so far and priced reasonably...

Good Luck! Mine was defective from the factory!
When unpacking it note how it went into the box as you may be returning it. The instructions don't match what comes in the box. Apparently they made an engineering change from when the instructions were printed as assembly is not applicable for the product shipped. First problem is the bolt length and head style don't work. They are too short and have the wrong head type so you can't even start the bolts into the nuts on the frame. I had some longer metric bolts in-house but then the more serious problem surfaced. They weld the nuts into the frame (good idea) but the spacing was off by at least a 1/4" so you could only install one bolt per corner. And they were not aligned correctly so the top edges of the frame were not even. Time to pack it up and return it.

Quick and easy assembly
Purchased this after a ton of searching for the perfect cal-king bed frame. Glad I found this one....Lightweight, yet extremely durable. Design is modern and super easy to assemble. Love this new bed frame. Going to upgrade my extra bedroom with this frame as well.

Well designed and manufactured for its price
Item took a decent effort to assemble with one-man (really meant to be done as a two-man job to prevent any of the pieces from falling over when assembling). Utilized my own wrench set and ratchets for the hex screws to put together the frame. Steel welds are very sturdy and the pre-drilled holes line-up well with the screws when hand-tightening them before torquing them in place. Wooden slats are good quality and do a good job of dispersing the weight of the mattress, foundation, and occupant using the frame. If you need an alternate bed frame foundation that isn't wood, look at this one here. Assembly took me slightly over one-hour by myself and instructions were pretty easy to follow.

Sturdy and Easy to Put Together
The quality was better than I expected, considering the shipping box was a bit beat up. However, everything inside was undamaged. Very easy to put together; instructions are clear and they even give you a couple of extra screws. I was able to put it together by myself even though the directions suggest you need two people. I stacked up a few heavy Art History tomes from college (I knew there was a reason I was hanging on to those after all these years...) to a height of about 12" as a support underneath the side rail while I connected the foot rail. Once the foot rail is connected to a side rail it the frame will stand on its own. I have my own hex screwdriver so I used that as opposed to the one they give your. When tightening the nuts use the wrench to hold the nuts in place while tightening with the screwdriver as that will make it easier than the other way around. I'm still waiting for the mattress to arrive so can't comment on how the bed frame supports but it looks sturdy enough for a spare bedroom with occasional use.

Seems sturdy, but some rust.
Fairly easy to set up. So far no squeaks. I noted some cosmetic scratch damage upon opening as well as some rust inside at least on of the legs. I needed the frame however because I had a bed-in-a-box that needed to expand, so packing it back up and sending it off wasn't really an option, I'll update my review if it gets worse.

Happy with my choice
I bought this frame for a third floor bedroom. The box was heavy because the metal pieces are high quality. Due to the weight, we opened the box and took it up the stairs piece by piece. I'm not the most mechanically-minded person, but I was able to put it together with the help of a friend who has a bit more technical knowledge. It took us a while to get the hang of the instructions which could be clearer. Nevertheless, the frame is very sturdy and feels as secure as an old-fashioned hard wood bed. It doesn't make any noise and it provides solid support for my new mattress. I read a lot of reviews before buying this frame and I'm very happy with this choice. I would recommend it. Since my purchase, I've seen some of the other models I considered sitting out in the street on trash day. I don't think my frame will end up there for a long, long time.
