Nice style but will leave you wet.
I hover between a large and xl so I got an xl. It fits good and I like the style. For that it would have gotten 5 stars. However the jacket is advertised as waterproof which is the main reason I bought it. It rained really hard 3 days after receiving this jacket and I take the bus to and from work. I got pretty wet just trying to walk 1 block to the bus stop where there is a nice shelter. I didn't wash it before ising either and it started bleeding on my uniform.

Another miss in translation by a Chinese distributor
The size and color were fine and the cost told me not to expect the highest quality. However, the description was way, way off. It was supposed to be a jacket but it's not. It's a simple, warm weather cloth raincoat. The lining is not a true jacket lining, it's simply just not one single piece of cloth. In terms of true value, it's not worth it. I doubt it's waterproof. I had a discount so the cost was nominal to me. But it's definitely not worth the listed price. The biggest issue is more often now, Amazon offerings are flooded with Chinese distributors. Unfortunately, the descriptions are grossly incorrect as are the sizes. I'll attribute that to poor translation rather than intentional misrepresenting. So, I've begun weeding my Amazon product searches to exclude items from China. Not out of any principle but because it's a waste of time guessing what you'll actually get and whether it will fit you or your two year old. With stores monitoring returns, it's just my recommendation to weed out vendors that for whatever reason don't accurately describe their products, so you don't have to deal with returning yet another item. I will from now on limit to US , or "not from China" when it comes to clothes. This item was not a "lined jacket", and it's clearly not actual waterproof material; it appears to be a light rain coat and not worth the $50+ in my opinion. The description is way off and should be corrected.

I normally wear a med. and this med. has plenty of room for a bulky sweater under it. Really cute on.

I love this coat
I love this coat! It is perfect for me! When I was shopping for a new raincoat, this caught my eye right away. It came in a wide range of colors so I was able to get my favorite - lavender. I have arthritis pretty bad in my hands now so it is very difficult for me to do buttons - this coat has a zipper - and a metal zipper at that so I can easily put it on and take it off. The coat is well constructed. I love the fabric (heavy duty and lined), the cuffs and the neckline provide protection from the wind and cold, and it has a detachable hood. The bottom of the coat is slit on both sides so it makes it easy to get in and out of a vehicle, however it has gathers at the bottom that you can tie up to provide protection from the wind and the rain while walking. I had read that the XL was a bit tight at the waist and I guess it just depends on how you are built. I have a fairly large stomach and it fits me just fine. It's a great coat and a great value. Highly recommend it!

Runs Very Large
I went up a size after reading reviews and it's just huge on me even if I wore several layers and had my dog underneath it. I would look at the chart and order your regular size or possibly even go down a size. I love the look though and would recommend this coat. It would look great with jeans or with a dressier look. In my opinion, it looked very stylish and I'm pretty picky about my clothes. I would've given it a 5 except that maybe a belt would help even if it fit properly.

It's more of a "fashion" raincoat
I love this raincoat! It's probably not the most practical choice for keeping you dry in a downpour, especially because it's so open on the sides from the waist down, but it's really cool looking, kind of chic, light weight, and so easy to pack. The construction, and fabric quality are very good for what it is, basically a long windbreaker, but made of a heavier fabric, and nicely lined. By the way, it doesn't sound like you're wearing plastic when you move, nor does the fabric feel like plastic, as some windbreakers do. The zipper isn't the smoothest because it's also not the smallest, but it seems very sturdy, and adds to the look. The removable hood is lined, and large. Without it the coat has a completely different feel, like an elongated baseball jacket. The snaps on the hood do an okay job of holding it on tight enough so it won't easily fall off in a gust of wind, but if you need a hood that can be tightened around your face, like with a drawstring, I suggest you don't buy this coat. In fact, if you need a raincoat to keep you dry in a monsoon, or you happen to spend anymore time in the rain than it takes to get from the car to the restaurant door, don't buy this coat.

Good coat
After some delivery issues I actually got the coat and was able to wear it on a trip to San Francisco. The light purple color was as shown in the photo and it fit very nicely. The quality of the zippers is a little cheap but the coat itself is really a winner. If you don't like the open panels on each side at the bottom tie the strings together to make the coat appear closed. I really loved this coat and saved money as I purchased one similar from high end department store for twice as much and was able to return. The look was very similar and quality a bit higher on the other one but this one worked out just fine.
