Is it a null modem cable?
I needed a null modem cable for a particular application and I believe I tested the relevant pins but I couldn't get it working. In the end, I made my own which did work as expected. I'm not sure if this cable is defective or if it uses some standard(s) outside of my use case. The RX ad TX pins are swapped between one end and the other, however. Very strange.

Cable that works for a decent price.
It is a cable and it works. One thing to note, if you are using this for a powered device via the serial cable it won't work. Didn't realize this so in the end I did not use the cable. But it did work, just not as a power supply cable.

NOT a serial extension cable
This is not a straight extension cable, this is a null modem cable and two of the wires are crossed inside (like a LAN crossover cable)

It was all on purpose.... just saying
I'm very upset that you people think this is ok so I bought a db9 rs232 serial null modem cable but you people decided to give me a straight through serial cable witch then you placed a null modem label on it thinking I wasn't going to notice haha plus you guys left evidence. So without further ado can you people please fix your misteak so I can rate you 5 stares if you people fix your mistakes.
