Silver Metal Floral Flower Bouquet Holder Bridal Accessory

Bought this for a do-it-yourself wedding bouquet, and it was perfect! Cutting the roses for it about 3.5 inches long, it took nearly 4 dozen to make a lovely, full bouquet, but they were pretty tightly closed. 18 large, open roses would do the trick, or about 2 dozen tighter roses cut to 2-2.5 inches. My bouquet was quite large in the end, about 12 inches in diameter.. Followed instructions and soaked first, then used a vase of water to support the holder while we placed the flowers in the foam. I couldn't believe how easy it was, and everyone complimented me on my gorgeous bouquet! The holder is very pretty, too. This package comes with 4 holders, so it can also make bouquets for the whole bridal party. The only thing of note was how heavy the bouquet got, possibly because I had 4 dozen roses in it!

This was an Xmas gift for my very particular sister. When it arrived, it looked like very old merchandise. A lot of the "metallic" finish was missing. It looks like polished silver in the picture, not the case at all. Plastic with a poor spray job. I had to make a last minute trip to Michael's for spray paint with days to spare before Xmas. Plus I had to buy a new styrofoam piece as well. Not worth the money.

It is not metal - it is metal-coloured plastic. And, to add insult to injury, the chrome "paint" was rubbed off in many places. I can't see how the seller's could think that a bride (or a bridal party) would use this at a wedding. I could see it working if you planned on blinging it all over, but then it is too expensive for something you are going to just cover up. But then again, ALL wedding accessories are 100 times too expensive. They say to stay within your budget but no one cuts you any slack and you are under enough stress without having to deal with returning crappy merchandise. I did return this - simply junk.

I used this when I got married in August and I really liked it. A nice surprise was that the bottom part comes off and the flower can get water through the handle. My bouquet was fabulous for three days!!
