Can't beat this for the price!
My office switched from a wired network over to WiFi. Amazing idea, but it left a few of our Old-Testament-era PCs without internet. I was amazed to find these little guys for such a ridiculously low price. Installed without one problem whatsoever. Didn't even need to run the included software/drivers -- Windows 10 installed it within five seconds (RealTek chipset). These are only 2.4ghz devices (not the faster 5ghz), but in a basic office environment they're perfect. Can't speak for lifespan, but fingers are crossed. Highly recommended!

Good for the price
No drivers needed to use it on Windows 10. I bought it because it looks like the internal wifi of my laptop died and right now I could use wifi connections using this small adapter.

Works perfectly, instantly on ancient laptop with Linux Mint 19.2, awesome!!!
OK, I never leave reviews this quickly. I got this today and installed it 5 minutes ago. I have a super old Dell Latitude D630 laptop that I just brought back to life by installing Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon. I was concerned because I have no clue what USB it has, might be 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, I have no idea. I tried this adapter because the laptop's wireless card seems to have quit and this was the only affordable adapter that specifically mentioned it works with Linux. I plugged it into the back USB port and by the time I turned the laptop back around I already had a pop up telling me wireless networks are available. It came with an installation disc but I didn't need it. I connected to my home network and started watching YouTube as a test which works to perfection. I am so impressed!!!! As long as this adapter keeps working it's worth 3 times the price I paid here. Awesome!!!

No longer Perfect for Linux
Update: You will see below my original 5 star review. I was so pleased with my purchase that I bought a second one. I was greatly disappointed. While it looks exactly the same, it's an entirely different product than the first one that I bought. The one is an rtl8818fu chipset. Not the "eu" the first one was. It was an extremely difficult to find Linux driver. Once found it was not difficult to install but it is very unreliable. It constantly drops connection making it unusable. It's too cheap to bother returning it. Lesson learned. Won't be buying from this seller again.Original 5 star review:I have found my new favorite CHEAP USB WiFi adapter for use on older systems running Linux with very slow internal WiFi . Or ones that just can't be made to work properly on Linux. It says it uses the MT7601 chipset and that may be the way Windows sees it. But Linux sees it as a RTL8188EUS and it uses the r8188eu driver. That driver has been in the Linux kernel since 3.12. I personally tested it on kernels from 4.4 through 5.2. On Arch, RHEL, and Debian based distros. On all the Ubuntu and Linux Mint flavors. On every one it worked out of the box without any drivers needing to be installed. Only Debian 9 itself required drivers to be installed. But heck, does any WiFi work out of the box on Debian? If you want to spend more money and get better speeds, the Panda PAU07 is my recommendation for the most Linux friendly AC600 WiFi adapter. It is 3 times faster than this one, but also 3 times the cost. To compare this AC150 routinely got download speeds in the 20-24Mb/s and the Panda AC600 was in the 60Mb/s. If your Internet service is around 25Mb/s then the faster adapter provides no additional benefit.
