Activity Play Gym

This toy is perfect. It starts with 6 links. I bought additional links elsewhere that fit so that I could vary the height of different toys. This toy fits over babies bouncer, rocker, carseat (on the floor before we leave, not in the car. HA!) and over the top of him when he lays on the floor.The toys that come with it are very basic but are pretty typical baby fare. I LOVE that you can add any other toy you can find. I even put the velcro toy bars across it and they fit perfectly. Set up is super easy and it's super durable. Just get it already!

My little one is 2.5 months old and loves this gym already. We have the Fisher Price Under Water Activity Gym also. This is a small comparison of the two.1. The FP Gym connects with velcro, this one links the toys down. She bats at the toys pretty hard and with the FP one we are afraid because of the velcro that they will fall on her, this one does not have that problem.2. Both have similar toys...one with balls in it, a mirror, and a basic toy. All of which I think are important for learning.3. The FP turns into a tunnel, obviously this does not but it is decently structured and won't "pop out" like the FP does in some reviews.4. The toys on this one are able to vary at different heights as our little one grows. The FP one is static because of the velcro link.5. Great value for money on this one, I like all the colors and functionality of the toys and my child does too.I would recommend this one highly and also compare what you want based on your needs to other play gyms. They all have different pros and cons.Update: 9/25/10 This one is absolutely wonderful. We hang her favorite toys from the rings (can't do this with the velcro one) and we drag it with us everywhere we go. It isn't as portable as others but it's worth it. She also tries to grab the toys with her feet, it's a great height and we adjust toys by taking off or adding on the connecting rings.Join Amazon Mom: [...]

This is cheaper than buying a play mat, which is a good thing, but it is still pretty expensive. I like that you can add your own toys on rings. I don't like that the legs are not adjustable. It is not high enough to place over a bouncy seat or car seat (another review suggested it was). It is great for playing on the floor. Seems very sturdy and the colors are bright.

I chose this over the more expensive play gyms and my 11 week old son loves it.Unlike the fabric covered arches this is sturdy enough to hang even heavier toys like Lamaze brand toys. This one is made to work with links so it's easy to change out the toys with your extra links. You can wipe it down with a sanitizer if you need to. My son will lay and look at the toys while reclining on his boppy pillow or I can sit his bumbo in front of stand shorten the links. I have one Infantino toy that jingles when kicked that I hang very low for him and he likes that too. The side bar toys also interest him.We took this apart to pack it during our recent move and it packed fairly compactly and went back together easily and just as sturdy. Unlike many play gyms, I can see this one lasting through several babies.Finally, I love that there are no batteries, lights or sounds other than rattle type sounds :)

For the price it is very flimsy!One of the plastic pegs that is supposed to click in to attach it to the toy bar does not engage so it comes apart all the time!I’m either going to have to go through the hassle to send it back or glue it in place!For $40 bucks for a plastic toy, I shouldn’t have to deal with the hassle!

I watch my 7 week old granddaughter frequently, and she is often fussy because she is bored.I wanted to buy her a baby gym because my own daughter had really liked hers. When I went shopping I found that the prices are outrageous !I have not seen this at any other stores. Or anything like it.I decided to take a chance and buy this one.It is simple, no fancy mat, no music or sounds. But I like it better that way. I put on my own music while she plays and lay her on a comforter on the floor, and set the Play Gym over her so she can bat at the toys.It has a mirror that is angled so she can see her face while on her back. This seems to be her favorite.I also like it because I can add other toys to it and change things up.I am very happy with this purchase, and my daughter wants one for her house as well !UPDATE 3-2-2012: My granddaughter is now almost 5 months old and this continues to be one of her favorite toys. She is no longer fascinated by the baby in the mirror, but like to play with all the other toys. It is also easy to wipe down. I think this was one of my best purchases for her.

Item was way over priced for quality. Returned it immediately.

Cute toy, but definitely way overpriced. It is flimsy and has no weight to it. So, it doesn't stay put. Even a 2 or 3 month old can pull this thing out of position. I would be giving it 5 stars if I had paid around $20-$25 dollars for it, because that is really all that it is worth. But, it is the only toy like this that I saw anywhere. So, I am not unhappy with the purchase. I just wish it had a little more weight to it.

My 4 month old absolutely loves this. We have had other activity mats and he wasn't interested. This worked as soon as we set it up!It came really well packaged, and delivery was fast even though we only selected standard delivery.It was really easy to set up, just a few clicks into place and your done.It's not as big as I thought it would be, and there is no way my baby could lie horizontal under this. But that's more my fault for not checking the sizes.I absolutely love this and would encourage everyone to get one!
