I am a part-time teacher and needed a dock to use when moving classrooms. I wanted to be able to connect quickly to Interactive White Boards, hard drives and other peripherals. I would have liked to purchase the Microsoft Surface Pro Dock but it's silly money. This works perfectly and does all that I need for a much cheaper price. An excellent piece of kit.

Great item, works very well.Came well packaged and easy to setup.

Works as billed with my Surface Pro (5). But I did not realise it is powered and there is a cable / transformer to plug in. Also cable slots are in both sides so it doesn't sit nicely on the desk - it's a bit messy.It has however given me 3 usb ports and an HDMI slot which is why I bought it.So it does what it says on the tin, but isn't particularly sleek on your desk!I felt the ones that sit on the side of the surface looked heavy however - which is why I chose this one. So it's a balance of requirements.I would probably look for one designed to sit with its back to the desk wall or a more docking station type solution if I did it again - I just have a box with 7 cables sticking out now - not great look

I have the official Microsoft dock at work and that’s great but it’s silly money. I needed a dock for home working during lockdown and this product did the job perfectly.So you need to have your original Surface charger and you can’t run 2 extra monitors (the Microsoft dock allows the Surface AND 2 monitors making 3 displays) but for home working this is fine.I like that you only need a normal DVI cable to connect the monitor and the fact that the power supply will power the mouse and keyboard etc rather than draw from the Surface battery.For the price, it does the job. It allows a quick connection to mouse, keyboard and monitor without the faff.Yes, I’d probably have a second official dock if I wanted to pay the massive price. But this gets 5 stars for budget.

This is a very useful device. It connects to both the Display Port and USB connectors really easily, and gives you all sorts of video and data outputs.I have two of these and I couldn’t cope without them.Would highly recommend.

Very good value for money, have this plugged into my surface pro 6, with an external ssd & monitor plugged into it. Nice full hd picture via the displayport. Decent speeds on the SSD. Haven't tried the Ethernet, so can't comment.If I could I'd maybe knock half a star for the static / interference when you route audio through it, that you'll definitely notice between tracks or at quiet moments of songs. Given the surface pro has an audio jack built in anyway I just route audio that way instead.Despite this would highly recommend for others who don't want to drop 100+ on the official dock, but want a lot of added connectivity in an impossibly small box.

Compact, functional and as described. Nothing more to add really! Purchased for a 4 year old Surface Pro 4 and works like a charm. Arrived very promptly also, during the pandemic.

J'ai acheté récemment un hub d'une marque chinoise pour que je puisse connecter plusieurs équipements en parallèle de ma Surface et j'ai du le renvoyer directement chez Amazon car la qualité était vraiment catastrophique.Je me suis donc tourné vers un modèle plus onéreux et force est de constater que cet hub est bien meilleur que celui que j'avais avant...La qualité des finitions de cet Hub est vraiment très bonne et celui-ci est parfaitement adapté à mes besoins de connectique.J'ai fait le choix d'acheter un équipement plus cher que ce que j'avais au début mais le résultat est incomparable en terme de qualité !Point de vue fonctionnalités, il est équipé de 2 ports USB 3.0, ça va très vite et aussi bien quand il y a un port ou deux ports d'utiliser, on ne ressent pas de ralentissement, c'est très agréable.j'ai pu profiter de l'utilisation de l'HDMI et du port Display qui envoi une excellente qualité !De mon côté, j'ai une grande utilité du câble Ethernet car j'ai fait le choix de ne pas avoir de Wifi chez moi pour des raisons d'onde.. je trouve que l'on est assez pollué avec les antennes GSM et je ne voulais pas ramené d'autres ondes chez moi. Mon câble Ethernet couplé à cet Hub est donc totalement adapté !

Ich nutze im Büro die Originale Dockingstation von Microsoft für mein Surface Pro 6.Für das Homeoffice sollte ein ähnlicher Komfort her. Da der Preis von über 160€ für das Original aber sehr hoch ist, habe ich nach Alternativen Ausschau gehalten.Dieses Dock hat mich überzeugt, da ich zu einem vernünftigen Preis (habe es für 50€ im BlitzDeal gekauft) einen guten Funktionsumfang und eine einfache Bedienung erhalte.Zwar muss ich nun zwei Stecker (Dock und Ladegerät) und nicht nur einen Stecker (wie beim Original Dock) anschließen, das ist aber nur ein winziger Handgriff und kein Vergleich zu den drei Adaptern, die ich vorher benutzt habe.Das Dock funktioniert einwandfrei mit meinem 2K ThinVision Monitor, einem USB 3.0 Hub und dem LAN Anschluss. Wichtig ist hier: Dieses Dock erlaubt nur EINEN externen Monitor. Im HomeOffice reicht mir dies allerdings aus (und es wird in der BEschreibung auch ausreichend erwähnt).Probleme mit der Abschirmung habe ich keine (Alle Funkmäuse funktionieren, das WLAN funktioniert und auch Bluetooth)Die Verarbeitung ist ausreichend bis gut. Allerdings ist das Hub recht leicht und das Kabel steif. Daher lässt es sich nicht so schön platzieren wie das Original.Zusammengefasst bin ich vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überzeugt. Das Gerät kann alles was es verspricht, mit der hochwertigen Haptik und Verarbeitung des Originals kann es allerdings nicht mithalten.

Déception sur la qualité de ce produit.La solidité du boîtier en plastique laisse à désirer. Le hub ne fonctionne que si il est branché au secteur.La fiche de connexion de s’enfonce pas très bien et utilise deux ports de la surface

Je n'ai pas encore tout testé mais le dock prend en charge en USB les dongles de software, souris, les clefs USB et disque dur externe sans avoir besoin de s'alimenter au secteur.Contrairement à ce que j'ai lu, une fois le dock connecté, le wifi fonctionne toujours.Concernant le son, il ne semble pas passer via le port HDMI et par défaut aucun son ne sort de nul part. Par contre en branchant par la prise casque, cela passe. et en changeant dans windows la sortie du son, cela repasse par les enceintes de la surface pro 2017.
