Very nice
Wanted to add cabinet & undercounter lights. But didn't want to run 120vac due to safety concerns. Like.. if I accidently stabbed it with a knife so I wouldn't be electrocuted (DON'T JUDGE ME!!!). So 12vdc it is!The first spool we bought for the under counter lights had no cover on it, and they worked create. When the Missus decided she now wanted cabinet lights. I'm putting them in some aluminum rails with translucent covers (search B094XYNS78 and B071FRFQVZ on Amazon to see what I used).Unfortunately, they were out of the "coverless" ones when I bought the second roll, so I got the ones that were IP65 (I think). They were easy to take out of the sheathing they were in, so they worked fine.I'm now on the end of my third roll of these LED strips, and will be getting more because... "Well.. they would be nice in the pantry and storage closet!" Sigh...Pro Tip: if you decide to use them like I did, use contact cement as a glue. Works great on this setup!

Ideal color
I used these leds for rear cargo hatch lights in my Jeep Wrangler. I'm incredibly happy with the color. While they're not exactly what I consider a "warm" white (2700-3000k) they're more of a "neutral" white (3500-4100k) I put a dimmer in line and I'm very happy with the performance. I had to knock off 1 star because the adhesion -even on glass- will fail. I added 3m VHB tape and it's very solid!I even added several strips to my camper shell on my truck. Again, very happy!

Works properly and within spec
I'm well versed with LED tech and will clarify how well this strips performs. At exactly 12volts I get 3.4 amps cold and 3.5 amps hot. I had to dial up to 12.5 volts to get 4amps, and this produced only a tiny difference in brightness at the expense of a lot of heat. At 5amps brightness was better, but the lead foot or so of strip got too hot to hold. Not a good idea if used in enclosed spaces and not a good idea with non current regulated drivers. Even though 5054 LEDs should be capable of 300mA I would not suggest this unless you are mounting them to metal. At 12volts advertised they perform just fine and shouldn't have thermal or longevity isssues. If you want brighter just get another strip and run it in parallel with a 10amp driver.

Thrilled with these lights, at First...
Using these strips in an automotive application in small 10" - 14" length strips for LED Tail Lights. They were mounted inside the original TL housing and worked perfectly! They looked amazing for the first few months. Then I started to lose random individual LED's within almost every strip!?! Just one or two in each strip (sometimes more). They will start to flicker at first, then stop working altogether. Not sure why, but they don't seem to last for very long. Going to try the fully waterproof option to see if this additional protection also aids durability and longevity

Truly better than many brands out there
Immediately when powered up it had wow factor. Since installing these I have installed other brands because these were not available in the time I needed and visibly there was so much difference. This brand has more LEDs that are tremendously brighter. The adhesives are much better also and have held up reasonably in cold and heat. Much better than other brands. Also the copper they use must be thicker because there is barely any noticible dimming as the lines are daisy chained at least 8 long. Other brands we used below it have so much dimming you can't even have them next to each other. Go with this brand. You will be much happier.

LED strip defective **UPDATED***
No matter which way...as per a prior reviewer. The strip will not take power: I attempted every combination of power sources: Soldered 4 2 pack AA's together to power 12v at 1.5A, this should be sufficient to produce light....check volt meter readouts...shows power flowing from the packs. Checked strips...nothing. The strips are incorrectly built. The new replacement roll is exactly as listed: Bright and definitely what I expected at start. Thank you for the quick turnaround on replacement.

It has only one problem
All seems to be good with this leds excepting that the leds ate too close to each other and when you cut the stripe, there is no space enough to use a 10mm connector cause you cannot close it due that the led right near the two contacts is too close, all the rest looks fine but I cannot say about longevity cause I just installed them.

Not as bright as 2538 LED chips
These strips are not as bright as strips that use 2538 chips. The reason is simple; the 5054 LED chip is bigger and takes up more room, thus they cannot physically put as many chips on a strip as the 2538s. I also measured the PAR value and it is less than the 2538 chips.Otherwise, these strips were okay.

As advertised
These were as advertised. I would rate them about half way between cool white and warm “incandescent” white. Easy install. Good adherence - make sure you are peeling off the thin blue film only as it’s easy to peel off the two-sided tape in error. These are quite bright - we purchased these for under the awning of our RV and after install I’m going to need to add a dimmer for sure. They’re too bright for a campground at night.

Elles ont brûlées
La bande que j’avais acheté il y a un ans a littéralement brulée, ce qui aurait pu causer un incendie. Un autre produit dangereux sans certification CE ou ULc à ne pas toucher avec un bâton…

Rich bright blue
The color is a really nice rich blue with most likely sone uv in it. It is incredibly bright at 12V. The only down side of those is the tape that does'nt stick well to the led strip
