Affordable, easy to use, strong enough for pallets
OVERVIEW: This is a solid product, it does what is supposed to do. Super strong and easy to do. We originally got it to satisfy the post office’s requirement for sending bulk mail flats, but find it to be useful for all sorts of things – pallets especially. Shipping lighter items like flats of envelopes do not stretch the strapping, but pallets of books stretch them slightly after time. Easy to remedy, though, just retighten.STRAPPING: The strapping is super strong. Not the heaviest I've seen put it holds regardless of the weight of the flat or pallet.WIRE BUCKLES: They are strong and do not bend. Regardless of the amount of tension of the straps, they hold. There are plenty of them as well. They are reusable as well, if you are with whatever you are strapping both at the beginning and end. THere are tons of them included, so I can't picture running out before the strapping is gone.TENSION TOOL: I've never used it. I find it easier to tighten by hand for lightweight stuff and with a vice grip for heavier pallets.PACKAGE: The package design makes the product super easy to use. The strapping is coiled within, and easily comes out of the section on the side of the box designed for that purpose. When you pull on the strapping it simply comes out. The hole in the top is useful because it is a natural spot for the bag of wire buckles. There are simple instructions on the side of the package that make it easy for newbies to figure it out.

Worth the money. Do buy but don’t buy the stretching tool
Works pretty good. If your shipping multiple boxes and strapping them together, then you’ll want to use for straps. Anything less and the straps will get loose. Also don’t waste your money on buying the stretching tool or even using the manual stretching tool that’s provided. It’s pretty much pointless. Pulling the straps by hand Will get them plenty tight enough. After you look at through I tied a knot in the strap before trimming the excess off. The Knot will allow the strap to not back out of the buckle. Will get them plenty tight enough. After you loop it through I tied a knot in the strap before trimming the excess off. The knot will allow the strap to not back out of the buckle. Overall it’s worth the money. Are used the metal straps because that was the only listing that would be delivered in time. I would buy again

Worked well for the job I needed it for
I was hesitant to but it, but happy I did. I had to ship 20 pallets of computers in boxes. Each pallet was 6' high or so and the total for the order was roughly $1.7M. I wrapped everything in pallet 'shrink' wrap, then ran 2 of these straps from top to bottom around the pallet. The metal clips worked well and held tight. The included tool was good to cut the strap, but I found it useless for tightening. I tightened everything by hand then, like other reviewers, I used a pair of vice grips to really pull down on the strap. I used my foot to hold the bottom of the strap against the pallet while pulling the 'tail' down with the vice grips. I checked the tension and it seemed good. When the forklift pulled the first pallet off the truck and tilted it back slightly, I had a quick moment of 'Oh Crap!' but the straps held great and were still tight when I cut them off at the receiving warehouse.Once quick tip; the clips come in a back that fits inside the top of the box and is accessible through a little flap in the box top. This seems like a great place to store them, and it was, but I didn't realize until nearly halfway through my pallets that the weight of the back was making the roll of strap much harder to pull out of the box than it needed to be. Once I got enough strap out that the bag caused it to jam and I had to remove the back, I realized that I should have just taken that back out in the first place. Sooo much easier. All in all, happy I spent the $40 on this pack and I'd do it again!

Excellent value for the money
Excellent value for the money! I have been using it to secure items for freight shipping (strapped to pallets, secure lids on crates) with great success. All shipped items have arrived in perfect condition, and the strapping survives even the roughest forklift operator. HINT: if the strapping contacts sharp edges, cut some cardboard strips to place underneath the strapping so that the sharp edges don't cut through the strapping. The buckles are not hard to figure out; just follow the diagrams on the box and the tensioning/cutting tool included works just fine. If you understand basic tension principles, you'll figure it out in no time.I love this kit, and highly recommend it to anyone who has to ship anything via freight infrequently (I go through Fastenal exclusively). If you are a professional, you will of course want a much more robust system, but for the occasional user, I highly recommend it. I'm ready to move up to 3/4" strapping now!

works as advertised with good instructions
This kit is OK for shipping with a pallette. I don't have any real complaints other then its got a million pieces that get lost easily. It does work correctly and comes with good directions. I shipped my kids 400 pound computer using this kit as well as wrapping plasatic, and it held up in transit.

Great quality for light duty strapping
Great product for light strapping or binding boxes for shipping. There are a ton of strapping and buuckles in the box. The straps do stretch and the buckles are fairly light duty. I would liken the weight of the strapping to very heavy ribbon, and not what a freight company uses for strapping. The buckles look like they are spring steel and are half the thickness and size of a typical freight buckle. Overall, this will work great for strapping lumber and other light duty tasks. I would not use these to strap something heavy to a pallot.

Use gloves when pulling it or use the t shape cutter/puller.
The media could not be loaded. For $40, this is a deal.It saves me on expenses. I use less tape now which can be very expensive. By using this, it makes the package more secure.Using is very easy. Its just like tying a shoelace on a shoe. The strap is a little sharp, which is normal. Pls be careful in pulling it. Using gloves is the best, to avoid cutting/slicing your hand.Theres is a t shape cutter/puller that comes with it.3k feet of strap is long. Width of the strap is 1/2”.I definitely recommend this to everyone.

Works fine, didn't use the included tightener tool
I like the container setup. The wire clips are on the top and you can pull up/out the strapping, cut it and just reach in and grab a clip. Simple but for some reason it just seemed convenient.. Strapping and clips seem to be decent quality. Hard to beat getting over 1/2 a mile of strapping for this price.

a good product
It's easy to operate and can pack stuff firmly. For the instructions, the pictures on the amazon website are way more clear than those on the box, but for some people the way how to pack is intuitive.

Just kinda ok
Not really too impressed. The tightening tool is lame, as is the cutting feature. It takes 3 hands to do it and the end result is not a very tight bundle. Bought it to bundle kindling. Could not get it tight enough to keep the bundle from shifting or a stick or two falling out during normal handling.
