It works like it should and saves a lot of time.

I am using this device as a quill dro for my small milling machine. Very nicely made. Most of the mounting hardware was not used. I found it best to use double sided tape on the back of the gauge as part of my mounting system.

Update rate is so slow that you have to stop moving the quill to see where it is. Useless for controlling the depth of a hole "real time" as it is being drilled. Returned product. It is nicely made and seems to repeat well.

I bought this for my Bridgeport milling machine. This short scale has reasonable accuracy. Their longer scales are not as accurate as I would like (based on their advertised specs). I was able to cut the scale off 1" to fit my quill. I built some custom brackets for it and have been using it a lot and am pretty happy with it. It tends to use batteries pretty fast, especially if you forget to turn it off. It really does need an automatic turn off feature added.

Bought this to replace my Mitutoyo quill DRO that died. It is not as good but it works. The main problem is that the viewing angle on the LCD is very poor. You have to be looking straight on to see it but it is better than using my dial gauge. It takes a CR2032 battery (which was DOA) so hopefully it will last a long time between changes.Aside from the readout part being bigger than my old Mit, they apparently use the same scales as they were interchangeable which simplified my retrofit. It even had the same mounting screw pattern as the Mit. so it bolted right in for me. It apparently has an SPC output but that is not mentioned in the directions.
