Berard 54170 French Olive-Wood Handcrafted Cutting Board

I love the size of this board - it's perfect for slicing one lemon or one wedge of cheese. I also LOVE the fact that it's so thin! I really want a second one but they raised the price 25% right after I bought mine, and now it's not worth it.SELLER: if you get rid of that 25% increase, I will buy two more!

I am not at all pleased with this purchase. From the picture this appears to be a large cutting board.This was a gift to our daughter, she called to tell us this is quite small (just slightly larger than her hand). Seller needs to add dimensions & product detail to this product.

This is attractive but much thinner then expected. I should have read description better. Very attractive

Yes, the board is small, but the dimensions are given, so that was expected. It is a beautiful, perfect size for a cheese board - which is exactly why I wanted this piece. The olive wood grain is beautiful, and it is finished to be perfectly smooth. I have found myself reaching for this board again and again as a natural yet elegant serving piece.

I didnt look closely enough to the dementions, it was way too small for what I wanted. Pretty enough though.

Very disappointed with this item. It arrived with a huge crack all the way through. I put it in a drawer without thinking and missed the return window.

Very small.. GOOD WOOD.. Perfect for my intended use.. I have a large mesquite board that is a pain to clean frequently, so I wanted a small board to cut things like garlic and potatoes that tend to mess up, or stink up the larger board.. And tthe dual purpose is I load up things that are hard to pick up (onions and spices) so I can pour then in the pan quickly at the right time..The only problem is olive wood tends to have lots of knots and grain.. Although olive wood is a great wood choice for a small cutting board, it warped a little after I cleaned it (before adding the oil).. I like to clean my boards first, then dry, then add clean oil.. I let it dry completely, and the warpage minimized (then added the protective oil)..On the good side, I think it is actually better functionally slightly warped, because then its got 4 little feet because of the warpage (believe me I had a small mesquite board that was not warped at all, and you could not cut anything on it because it turned)..OLIVE WOOD: is pleasantly heavy, very sooth silky feeling hard wood.. It may be my favorite wood flr small things like spoons and small cutting boards..

Very expensive for its size, but it is a really nice cutting board. I've had it a few years and it's been much more durable than any of the cheap bamboo ones I've purchased before. You might be able to find the same thing for a third of the price, but if you do want a nice olivewood cutting board, this will do it for you. It is quite small.
