Japanese Hakama & Kataginu Pattern

Absolutely superb! From the detail in this pattern we were able to easily change a ceremonial Hakama to one suitable for martial arts. Highly recommended, also the delivery to England was very quick!

Don't be surprised when you open this pattern and find that there are no pieces for the Hakama themselves! What you get instead is the measurements and guides for mapping out your own, as they are heavily based upon the measurements of the person for whom they are being made. If you are willing to be patient and precise, and also have experience understanding basic drafting based upon measurements, you will be able to make things work. However, I would definitely NOT recommend this pattern to a beginner!

amazing product I bought it for my dad and he loved it.

It will be interesting to see if it is as easy to do the bottom as stated in instructions since there is no pattern "per se" just instructions on how to fold a piece of fabric. The top does have a pattern that needs to be cut & sewed. I will post again to let you know the difficulty level.

I was really upset to purchase a pattern, to have no pattern inside, just difficult instructions to follow which in the end I didn't even use. I you tube video was more helpful.

Fortunately it was t the best value, instructions were clear ,i would order more of their patterns , very good quALity

Just what I needed to complete my cosplay. A limitless small but it all worked out in the end so.... :)

Item is exactly as described and received on time. It would have been nice to get proper wear instructions along with the pattern, but that is a minor point fixed by a search of the internet, more specifically Youtube.
