I like the gloves
I like the gloves, but find that you have to be careful not to get them wet when you are lifting something hot. The heat remains in the glove and can cause a burn. I have also found that they get a little warm when I take something out of the oven that was at 400 degrees. I had to set the pan down quickly. I don't think I would use it on logs that were hot. They are a little hard to get on. The good points are that you can feel the pan you are taking out of the oven or microwave. I have put away my mitts now as they were really clumsy when you wanted to get something out of the microwave that is pretty hot.

Confused?
I just received these gloves and have not had a chance to use them. However, this web site for the gloves states that the gloves can "withstand temperatures of up to 600 degrees F", while on the package I received with the gloves the temperature resistance was much less than this!!Also, the web site in bold letters states Don't Get Burned or Scalded! I define scalding as getting hot liquids or fluids on my skin. In an Email form the company selling these, a warning is given to be careful about spilling hot liquids on yourself (getting scalded?)because the gloves are not waterproof .Anyone else find this confusing?

Hot Stuff
I bought these for my husband, but the way they are constructed I can use them as well. My husband cooks with cast iron pans, which he usually preheats in the oven to 550 degrees. He also has a wood-fired pizza oven where he needs heat protection. He had tried several mitts/gloves/potholders, even welders' gloves, but nothing worked well. So when he got these he was really skeptical, but he really likes them. At first the cuff felt snug but it's not a problem, they slip on easily, and they really protect his hands without being very bulky. The package said "safe to 375 degrees (!!), but there hasn't been a problem yet at the high heat use.

These are awesome gloves; they work great for handling my hot pots & pans and taking stuff out of the oven, and since they're gloves they're tactile enough that I can get a really good grip on things. Also, they are very comfortable to use, and I can barely tell that what I'm touching is hot with them on. Only (very slight) downside is that they aren't quite as long as my old potholder, so you still have to be careful if you need to reach further back into the oven so that you don't burn your arm on it. I notice they do make longer gloves though, so maybe that's an option for next time I have a need to get some. :)

exactly what I wanted
I am replacing a very old pair of Kiln gloves that I have always used in my kitchen. I searched many online sources. These are exactly what I was looking for. Good fit for a woman's large hands yet the wrist ribs are snug enough for a smaller hand. The grips are exceptional for me because my hands have lost some strength through the years. I use them for anything I may need to put in or take out of the oven. These are perfect.

Great for Studio
My husband and I both like them. In the kitchen, they are great and perform "as promised". I use a second pair in my art studio, where I bake various items, (Polymer clay, vinyl, glass, etc). The fingers make it easy to remove trays from the oven and handle the various shapes. You can feel the objects and know you have ahold of them--unlike bulky mitts.

Love Them - No Burns on the Hands!
In the past, I had some gloves I used for the oven and grilling but they wore out. It was time to get new ones, and these are perfect. The gloves are comfortable to wear and use (comforting) but it is easy to handle the pan or grilling utensils with them on. I love the kevlar protection - no burns possible! The strips on the gloves allow for good grip, too.We bake and grill all the time, so these are extremely useful. I recommend!!!

WONDERBAR! At last oven mitts that follow through!
These oven mitts rate five stars because they protect as advertised, and exceed my expectations. For men or women, they work at the grill and at the kitchen oven. They are easy to put on and take off. They are not bulky as are "regular" oven mitts, but allow the hands to work as hands. I wish we had been introduced many years ago! I will be ordering additional pairs as gifts (and safety precautions) for the "grilling men" in my life.

Good kit, I'm pleased with this regarding the high heat resistant provided it is dry. However, as described one has to be careful when handling a casserole from the oven because the gloves will not protect your hands as soon they in contact with hot liquid - the only disappointment.
