I got a set of rainbow cutlery as a birthday present and we often keep takeout chopsticks around the house. I wanted to complete my rainbow set so I ordered these. I really like them. I've not used them for ramen yet, so no review on slippery noodles, but they're easy to use, nicely weighted and they match my cutlery perfectly. I saw a review previously that the "textured" tips are false, that they're just printed on. That's not entirely true, while the texture isn't remarkably prominent, the ends aren't just smooth. There is a texture but it's subtle. I just thought that that review was wrong and needed to be corrected. At first I thought they weren't metal because they weren't as heavy as I thought they should be, but after using them, feeling them against my teeth ect, they are metal. No clue if they're true stainless steel, but they appear true to the description.Ramen update: They are slippery trying to use them with noodles in broth, but it's not impossible.

This is easy to clean and easier to use than I thought. A bit slippery for the food to stay on at first but once you realise it, you know how to maneuver and this is coming from a chopsticks newbie.

I bought one set for myself as I dislike wood (splinters) and fiberglass (creepy, the fiber type isn't safe, so how is the 'plastic-like'?) and a set to share with friends and family. Many of us carry a set of eating utensils when we go out, just in case an eatery serves plastic or the dishwasher missed something.These fit great. Everyone I shared with loved the Rainbow color. My step-dad says they look more cheerful than regular silver colored ones.Fit everyone's hands well, easy to use, grip fine.

These are good lightweight chopsticks. But they are slightly rounded which with the lightweight makes it kind of slippery. I like a slightly heavier chopstick. But I am also a chopstick novice. These are for adept users of chopsticks :)

So, after a month of constant use and dishwashering, my rainbow chopsticks are still as bright and colourful as they were when I opened the package. I have other metal chopsticks. I don't cook with them, nor would I cook with these. For regular eating, though, the coloured finish seems pretty permanent. Other metal chopsticks I own have ridges (down at the business end) that help with the gripping of food, but these only have a sort of frosted texture. Having said that, I've not had any problem with them being more slippery than my other metal chopsticks. YMMV.

This will be a relatively short review, but I cannot believe I got these chopsticks for under $3. These are beautiful chopsticks and exactly as stated. Stainless steel, easy to clean, substantial (not flimsy), and weighted/balanced very well for easy use. There were five pairs in the package and I LOVE using them. Highly recommended!

Selected to go with other gold tone flatware and accessories for my granddaughters table. She loved them.
